Dreaming of stepping onto the hallowed grounds of Anfield? Our 2026 guide covers everything from booking your stadium tour tickets to maximizing membership discounts!

During our trip, we actually did the Anfield Stadium tour the day before a Liverpool match. But if you're planning your own visit, trust me on this: book your tour for the day after a game!
Why? Because on match days and the day before, you won't be able to enter the players' locker rooms. It's a key part of the experience you don't want to miss!

Booking Your Anfield Stadium Tour

Already a Liverpool FC Full Member?
Then you're in luck! You can get a 30% discount when booking your stadium tour directly through the official Liverpool FC website. It's definitely the best way to go if you have full membership.
(Just a heads-up: Light Memberships used to get discounts, but that benefit has been discontinued.)

How to Get Your 30% Membership Discount
Liverpool FC — Members Your Membership Benefits

I spent ages trying to find a discount button when booking my stadium tour, only to discover that the discount code is actually listed on the membership benefits page.
Just head to the link above, log in with your Supporter ID number, and then navigate to YOUR BENEFITS.

Scroll down a bit, and you'll spot the "Stadium Tour 30% Discount." The promotion code will be right there – simply copy it!

Return to the stadium tour booking page, enter your promotion code, and then input your Membership Number (Supporter ID). The discount will then be applied!

With the discount, an adult ticket will cost you around ~$23. Remember, the Liverpool Light Membership no longer offers this perk, so this is primarily for existing Full Members.
Our Anfield Stadium Tour Experience

If you're a devoted "Kop" (a true Liverpool FC fan), I highly recommend arriving about an hour before your scheduled tour time. This gives you plenty of time to explore the surroundings and snap some fantastic photos.
My husband, a lifelong fan for over 20 years, absolutely loved soaking in the atmosphere!

Finding the stadium tour entrance is straightforward. Anfield does a great job with intuitive signage (though their website could use some love, haha!).

While you can purchase tickets on-site, they're typically about ~$2 more expensive than booking online. Plus, if it's a busy day, you might face a long wait, so booking in advance is definitely recommended.

Unfortunately, there's no Korean audio guide available, which is a shame! They mentioned not many Korean visitors, but I still grabbed an English one to get the full experience.
You'll also get a set of earphones with the Liverpool logo – a cool souvenir you can take home after the tour!

When Arne Slot first took over in 2024, I just hoped they'd make it to the Champions League. But seeing them lead the league in 2026? Their growth has been absolutely incredible!

Murals depicting Liverpool's most glorious moments line the walls, a true testament to their rich history.

After soaking in some inspiring videos that truly ignite the "Liverpool spirit," it's finally time to step into the stadium itself!

To think I was actually standing at Anfield, notoriously one of the toughest grounds for away teams! Experiencing a match day here really shows you the incredible passion of the local fans. It's easy to see why visiting teams feel the pressure at Anfield.
You'll get to see the pitch from the very top tier first, and then again from the ground level at the end of the tour. This is your chance to even walk on the edge of the hallowed turf!

You can even see Everton's stadium quite clearly from here. I hear Everton is moving to a new stadium next season, so this view might change soon!

You can pose for photos with the trophies, but keep in mind that printed photos come with a fee. It's perfectly fine to just snap your own pictures from a distance!

This is one of the hospitality areas – almost looks like a cozy local eatery, doesn't it?

You'll notice inspirational quotes and mottos plastered all over Anfield. It really highlights the immense pride and history associated with the club and its home.

You can also grab a photo at the interview backdrop, just like the players and managers! Again, prints are extra, so your phone camera is your best friend here.

Strike a pose with the player standees!

As I mentioned, visiting on the day before a match means you can't enter the home team's locker room. However, you can still explore the away team's locker room!

They even hang Liverpool player jerseys in the away locker room for you to check out – a clever way to still give you a taste of the team!

Only Virgil van Dijk's jersey had a signature, so I made sure to snap a picture!

The Liverpool tour is largely self-guided with the audio guide, allowing you to explore at your own pace. This meant we could take our time in the locker rooms, which was great.

During Jürgen Klopp's era, before they won major trophies, players weren't even allowed to touch this iconic Anfield plaque!

Anfield is renowned for its impeccable pitch maintenance, and you can truly feel it when you step onto the turf! While you can't walk on the main playing area, even touching the edges reveals how perfectly conditioned it is.
The Liverpool FC Shop

After your stadium tour, you'll get a 10% discount at the official Liverpool FC Shop, so definitely make time to browse!

The first floor showcases the latest jerseys and a wide array of memorabilia and accessories.

Upstairs on the second floor, you'll find a selection of older season jerseys.

They even sell signed jerseys for around ~$390! A signed autobiography by Steven Gerrard goes for about ~$163.

The second floor also features a cafe and comfortable seating areas where you can relax.

I'm not sure if other team shops are this extensive, but the Liverpool FC Shop is massive and offers such a huge variety of merchandise! A true Reds fan could easily spend over an hour shopping here.

Seriously, a Liverpool FC microwave? You never know what you'll find!
And that wraps up our review of the Anfield Stadium Tour!
It is recommended to book the tour for the day after a match. On the day before or the day of a match, you cannot enter the home dressing room actually used by the players; you will only be able to see the away team's dressing room.
You need to copy the stadium tour promo code from the benefits page on the membership website. Then, enter this code along with your Supporter ID number on the tour booking page to book for 18 pounds per adult.
Without a membership, using a third-party ticketing agency is ~$1 cheaper than the official website. You can also purchase tickets on-site, but it costs ~$2 more than booking online, and the wait times can be longer.
Korean is not supported on the audio guide due to the low number of Korean visitors. However, you can keep the Liverpool-branded earphones provided with the audio guide as a souvenir after the tour.
You can get a 10% discount if you visit the Liverpool store after your tour. In addition to regular kits, the store also sells items like a 300-pound autographed shirt and a 125-pound autographed autobiography by Steven Gerrard.
