I've put together a detailed review, covering everything from the location of
Wagyu & Kani Kyoto Ekimae branch to an honest account of the unlimited

and with Don Quijote right nearby,

It's also close to Isetan Department Store,
making it a great option for dinner after shopping around Kyoto Station.

Inside Wagyu & Kani Kyoto Ekimae branch
The restaurant is on the 4th floor of the building,
and the interior was clean and quieter than expected.

The spaces were somewhat partitioned, and there were private rooms,
making it comfortable for groups to dine.
There were many foreign visitors in addition to locals,
and the ambiance is perfect for visiting with parents too.

Kyoto Wagyu & King Crab Unlimited Refill Course
There are a total of 4 unlimited refill courses,
and we chose the 16,000 JPY per person course.

We could enjoy Satsuma Nishikigyu Wagyu,
Nangoku Bakuton pork,
king crab, snow crab, sushi, and a variety of side dishes.

With a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and drinks like beer, sake, shochu, and sour cocktails,
it was perfect for enjoying both a meal and drinks at the same time.

Honest Review of Kyoto Sukiyaki Wagyu
The sukiyaki and crab filled the table, but the first thing that caught my eye was the wagyu's marbling.

I was worried about the meat quality since it was unlimited refills,
but the first serving exceeded my expectations.

If you cook the wagyu briefly in the sweet and savory sukiyaki broth,
it truly melts in your mouth.

When you dip it generously into the egg yolk,
the savory sweetness of the sukiyaki sauce combines with the richness of the egg,
creating a flavor that makes you want to keep adding more meat.

After having sukiyaki here,
I've been completely spoiled and feel like I won't be able to enjoy sukiyaki in Korea the same way.
I've officially caught the 'Japan fever'!
Oh, Japan, Japan...!

All-You-Can-Eat Wagyu Refills
The meat is served by cut,
so you can try them all and then order more of your favorite parts.
Honestly, I was worried that the quality of the meat
might drop after the initial serving,
but the Wagyu we reordered had the same excellent marbling and condition.

Even the pork exceeded my expectations.
It was tender with no unpleasant odor, making it great to alternate with the Wagyu.
And by adding vegetables, it felt less greasy too.
The eggs, which are essential for sukiyaki,
can also be refilled endlessly.

When you lightly cook the Wagyu and dip it generously into the egg,
the sweet broth and the rich egg create a flavor profile that
I could enjoy countless times without getting tired of it.

As the meat and vegetables continued to simmer,
the broth became richer in umami and sweetness,
allowing us to enjoy a much deeper, more flavorful sukiyaki
towards the end than at the beginning.

Kyoto All-You-Can-Eat King Crab and Snow Crab
And here's something you absolutely *must* try: the king crab!
Since it was all-you-can-eat, I was initially worried there wouldn't be much meat,
but the legs were large and packed with substantial crab meat inside.

What made it even better was that a staff member expertly prepared the crab for us when it first arrived,
so we didn't have to bother with cracking and picking the crab ourselves.
We could just dive right in, which was incredibly convenient!

Once I picked out the crab meat, I found it to be incredibly plump and full,
and the flesh itself was moist, not at all dry.
It was delicious on its own, with a delightful salty umami,
and having it alternately with the Wagyu was a fantastic change of pace.

The combination of enjoying Wagyu, then king crab,
and then returning to sukiyaki was truly fantastic.
If you're someone who loves both meat and seafood,
the biggest advantage here is that you don't have to choose between the two.

All-You-Can-Drink Alcohol (Nomihodai)
To complement our sukiyaki, we also indulged in the all-you-can-drink alcohol.
There was a wide variety of beers, sake, and sours,
but I happily enjoyed barley shochu and sweet potato shochu to my heart's content.

Enjoying a drink alongside the sweet and savory sukiyaki,
it felt like our evening was perfectly capped off right here.

If you love a good drink, make sure to explore their impressive beverage selection, not just the delicious food.

Sukiyaki Udon Noodles: The Perfect Finale!
After you've had your fill of sukiyaki, make sure to add the udon noodles for the grand finale!

After continuously simmering the wagyu, pork, and vegetables, the broth grew incredibly rich. Adding the udon noodles at this stage meant they truly absorbed all that amazing sukiyaki flavor!

Even though I was already delightfully full from the king crab and wagyu, there was no way I was skipping this final carb-filled treat! With every slurp, you can really taste why Japanese udon noodles are simply in a league of their own.

Unlimited Dessert Ice Cream: A Sweet Ending!
And for the absolute grand finale? Ice cream!
With flavors like yuzu, black sesame, and matcha (green tea), you can pick your favorite to perfectly suit your taste!
After indulging in a hearty feast of sukiyaki and wagyu, the cool, refreshing ice cream was the perfect palate cleanser.

If you're craving something zesty and refreshing, yuzu is your pick. For a wonderfully nutty and savory note, try the black sesame. And if you adore the rich, authentic taste of Japanese green tea, then matcha is an absolute must!

Seriously, no matter how full you are, always save a little room for this incredible ice cream!
Kyoto Station's Sukiyaki Hotspot: My Final Thoughts
While the price point might suggest this isn't a casual dinner, the sheer variety of delights — from wagyu and king crab to snow crab, sushi, and all the incredible sides — made it absolutely worth it!

What truly impressed me was the high quality of the wagyu, even for an all-you-can-eat offering, and getting to savor such generous portions of king crab!

Its fantastic location, super close to Kyoto Station and right next to Don Quijote...
...makes it perfect for combining into an epic Kyoto adventure: explore Kyoto's sights → indulge in Wagyu Sukiyaki & King Crab → then hit Don Quijote for some amazing shopping!
So, if you're on the hunt for an unforgettable dining experience near Kyoto Station or a top-notch sukiyaki spot in Kyoto, I wholeheartedly recommend Wagyu & Crab (Wagyu to Kani Kyoto Ekimae-ten) to feast on wagyu and king crab until your heart's content!
