Discover Kobi Onsen Resort Hue, a hidden gem near Da Nang offering incredible open-air hot spring baths and fantastic value. Perfect for a relaxing escape after exploring Hue's history.

Planning an overnight stay near Da Nang in the historic city of Hue? You absolutely have to check out
Kobi Onsen Resort Hue, Affiliated by Melia.
It's the perfect setup: explore Hue's incredible historical sites by day,
then unwind in the resort's rejuvenating hot springs by night. Trust me, Hue gets pretty quiet after dark, so a relaxing soak is just what you need.
The onsen waters here are legendary for their therapeutic properties.
Plus, with a night's stay, including onsen access and breakfast, coming in at around ~$55,
it's an incredible value that's hard to beat.

Kobi Onsen Resort Location
📌Kobi Onsen Resort Location
📍 Kobi Onsen Resort Hue, Affiliated by Melia
Duong No, Hue 53000 Vietnam
The resort is conveniently located just a 10-minute Grab ride (roughly 2-3 miles) from Hue city center.
You might be wondering about luggage. In my case, I hired a taxi for the day,
so I simply kept my bags in the car, which made things super easy.
Room Review
I booked a Deluxe Room with Onsen Access.
Just to clarify, this means you get a pass to the main onsen facilities, not a private hot spring in your room.

The room itself was much more spacious and comfortable than I expected.
My window overlooked lush, green rice paddies.

Sitting on the balcony, simply gazing at the scenery,
brought such a profound sense of peace. Honestly, the resort's slightly secluded location, away from the city bustle,
felt like a real bonus for this kind of serene escape.

Since Kobi Onsen Resort embraces a Japanese onsen style,
you'll even find traditional yukatas provided in your room. They're perfect for slipping on when you head to the baths!

The Main Event: The Onsen

The absolute highlight of my stay at Kobi Onsen Resort was, without a doubt,
the hot springs.

They feature both indoor and outdoor onsen baths,
along with both dry and wet saunas.
When I visited, the daytime weather was quite warm, around 85-90°F, so I didn't even consider the onsen during the day.
Using it at night, however, was a stroke of genius!
The place was practically empty, and I had the entire facility to myself for over an hour. Pure bliss!

The open-air bath was truly the star of the show.
Soaking under the moonlight, it felt like something out of a fairy tale.
The water was incredibly soft, leaving my skin feeling smooth and refreshed.
If I ever return to Hue, I'd book this resort again just for this incredible onsen experience.

I highly recommend using the onsen in the evening rather than during the day.
The cooler night temperatures make the open-air bath even more enjoyable, and with fewer guests, you can truly relax in peace.
Resort Dinner Was a Bit Disappointing
While the room and onsen were fantastic,
dinner at the resort was a bit of a letdown.

There aren't many other dining options nearby, so I ended up ordering
beef salad, stir-fried vegetables, king prawn omelet, steamed rice, and water from the resort restaurant.

The total came to 845,000 VND, which is about ~$29.
Even for a resort restaurant, it felt quite pricey for the quality, and I wasn't overly impressed.
I checked with the front desk, and they confirmed you can order Grab food delivery to your room.
So, if I visited again, I'd definitely order dinner from the city to be delivered.

Just a heads-up: Grab delivery orders need to be picked up at the hotel's front entrance.
Breakfast Was Delicious

Breakfast, on the other hand, was a delightful experience.
There was a wide variety of dishes, including traditional Vietnamese breakfast items, as well as Western options like pastries and egg dishes.

I especially loved the noodle station where they freshly prepared
Bun Bo Hue, a famous local dish from Hue. It was wonderful to savor authentic Hue cuisine right at the resort without having to hunt down a restaurant in the morning.
Kobi Onsen Resort Prices
My Deluxe Room, which included onsen access and breakfast, was around ~$55 per night.

Considering the spacious room, the lovely rice paddy views, access to the hot springs, breakfast,
and amenities like the pool and fitness center, I felt it offered exceptional value.

Gobi Onsen Resort Hue is located approximately 10 minutes from Hue city center by Grab. If you have a lot of luggage, you can also consider hiring a taxi for the entire day to keep your belongings in the car.
The 'Deluxe Room with Onsen Access' does not mean there's an onsen in the room itself; rather, it provides an onsen ticket upon reservation. A deluxe room including onsen access and breakfast can be booked for around ~$55 per night.
We recommend using the onsen at night rather than during the day. The cooler evening temperatures make it more enjoyable to use the outdoor baths, and with fewer guests, you can relax in peace. For dinner, ordering Grab delivery food from Hue city center and picking it up at the hotel's main entrance might be more satisfying than dining at the resort's restaurant.
Gobi Onsen Resort Hue's breakfast includes a noodle station where you can enjoy freshly prepared Bún bò Huế, a local specialty. This allows you to savor Hue cuisine right from the morning without having to search for a separate restaurant.
