Capturing Memories: Photo Spots Explored Aboard the Enoden Train
From Fujisawa Station, an Adventure Through Hase, Gokurakuji,
Inamuragasaki, and Shichirigahama – All the Way to Sunset~!!

Hey there, global explorers! I'm Kim Yupa, your travel blogger.
As I geared up for my Kamakura adventure,
I delved deep into researching all the famous photo spots.
Places I absolutely *had* to visit,
and spots renowned for their picture-perfect views.
I diligently saved them all on Google Maps,
complete with little notes and tips...
But guess what? Once I actually hopped on the Enoden, I discovered so many stunning spots just popping up everywhere~??

So, I decided to shake things up a bit...
My new, ultimate plan for this journey was simple:
If I spot something beautiful while riding the Enoden,
I'd just hop off!😎
Fujisawa Station → Hase → Gokurakuji
→ Inamuragasaki → Koshigoe → Shichirigahama
This was my general route,
and I capped it all off by catching a breathtaking sunset at Shichirigahama.
It was magical!

And if a spot truly captured my heart, I wouldn't hesitate to go back and forth a few times just to get that perfect shot! Haha.
So, instead of simply laying out my travel course in the exact order I explored it,
I'm going to share the absolute best photo spots I personally stumbled upon during my spontaneous Kamakura adventure!
If you're dreaming of your own Kamakura escapade,
I hope my photos and tips can be a helpful guide for your journey!
1. Your Guide to Buying the Enoden Pass at Fujisawa Station
As my accommodation was conveniently located by Fujisawa Station, that's where I picked up my Enoden Pass (also known as Noriorikun).
If Kamakura Station is closer for you,
you can easily purchase your pass there instead.
📍 Fujisawa Station
Japan 〒251-0052 Kanagawa, Fujisawa, 神奈川県藤沢市

A 1-day Enoden Pass for adults costs 800 yen,
and while it offers both cash and card payment options,
I ended up paying in cash as card payment wasn't available at that specific machine.
Getting your 1-day Enoden pass is super easy!
Switch language to English (or your preferred language)
Select '1-Day Ticket'
Make your payment
Collect your ticket!

The Enoden line gracefully stretches from Fujisawa all the way to Kamakura,
boasting incredible sections where it glides right between the sparkling sea and charming towns.
Honestly, just riding the train feels like an adventure in itself!

A Super Handy Kamakura Enoden Tip!
Since the train intervals can be a bit spread out,
you can easily hop off at various stops,
explore to your heart's content, and then simply hop back on to continue your adventure~!!
2. Kamakura: From Travel Itinerary to Must-See Photo Spots
Hase Station |
📍 Hase
Japan 〒248-0016 Kanagawa, Kamakura, Hase 2-Chome−14

My first spontaneous stop was Hase Station.
I heard the beach here was quite famous, so I decided to hop off,
and I was immediately captivated by the stunning views unfolding between the road and the ocean.

Gokurakuji Station |
Hopping back on the Enoden, I continued my journey,
and this time, I decided to alight at Gokurakuji Station.
📍 Gokurakuji Station
Japan 〒248-0023 Kanagawa Prefecture, Kamakura City, Gokurakuji 3 Chome−7

Perhaps because it's such a small and tranquil station,
it offered a distinctly different vibe from Hase.
The Enoden's quintessential small station building and tracks,
combined with the charming residential scenery around it,
create a truly picturesque scene.
And definitely keep an eye out for the Enoden tunnel view – it's a real treat!!

This view was so incredibly beautiful that I just had to get off the train...
I simply had to go back and capture it.
Inamuragasaki Station |
I heard Inamuragasaki Station
is stunning for sunset views, which is why I hopped off here.
And oh, the weather was absolutely perfect!
📍 Inamuragasaki Station
Japan 〒248-0024 Kanagawa Prefecture, Kamakura City, Inamuragasaki 2 Chome−8

This was exactly the kind of scenery I had dreamt of seeing in Kamakura:
The Enoden, the sparkling sea,
and the charming tableau of a small Japanese town, all perfectly framed in one captivating shot.
You know, you don't even need to hunt down those famous photo spots.
Just wander around, and if you stumble upon a beautiful view,
it instantly becomes the perfect photo op.
Koshigoe |
Hopping back on the Enoden, I continued my journey,
and this time, I decided to explore Koshigoe.
📍 Koshigoe Station
Japan 〒248-0033 Kanagawa Prefecture, Kamakura City, Koshigoe 2 Chome−14

The Enoden itself is truly an adventure in its own right.
There's no need to overthink where to get off.
Just gaze out the window, and if a particular view catches your eye,
it's absolutely worth hopping off to explore!

Shichirigahama Station |
📍 Shichirigahama Station
Japan 〒248-0026 Kanagawa Prefecture, Kamakura City, Shichirigahama 1 Chome−9
This is where I wrapped up my Kamakura adventure!

Honestly, I thought I had already witnessed a gorgeous sunset,
and was ready to call it a day,
but then the sunset from the train window turned out to be absolutely breathtaking!
And then I looked beside me and... there was Mount Fuji, majestically rising in the distance!
Everyone on the train, locals and foreigners alike, erupted in collective gasps of "Wow!!",
and we all tumbled out of the train, myself included, eager to get a closer look! Haha.

They say you need to have generations of good karma to witness it,
Mount Fuji in the summer – a truly rare and special sight!!
Simply get off at Shichirigahama Station,
head straight to the beach, and there it is, right before your eyes!
Spending the entire day riding the charming Enoden,
hopping off at every spot that caught my eye,
strolling around, then getting back on the train;
it was this kind of unscripted exploration that led me to that final, incredible sunset,
making it all the more unforgettable.

While a trip where you hit all the famous spots and head back, as initially planned, is great,
I think a journey like this one, where you get off at any station
and seek out landscapes that capture your heart,
can be quite fun too.
If you're planning a trip to Kamakura,
by all means, jot down the famous places,
but don't feel like you have to stick strictly to your plans.
As you ride the Enoden,
if you spot a place that makes you think,
'Oh? This looks pretty!'
just hop off and explore.
Who knows, your favorite photo of the day
might not be from a famous tourist spot,
but rather a scene you stumbled upon by chance.
I'm a leisurely traveler, so I take my time exploring here and there,
but if you're someone who likes to hit all the spots, I imagine you could see even more!!
