For this Bali trip,
rather than relaxing in a luxurious resort,
I planned it around outdoor activities like shopping, exploring local eateries, and tours,
so I focused on finding value-for-money accommodation.
I was looking for something around ~$69 per night,
but with clean water and room conditions,
and ideally located near the main street attractions like Ubud Market and the Royal Palace.
I meticulously checked all these conditions.
That's when I found
'Kajane Mua Villas',
and I was completely satisfied with everything:
its location, the expansive open views,
the clean rooms, and even the spacious swimming pool.
Today, along with my review of Kajane Mua,

① Why I Chose Kajane Mua in Ubud
Kajane Mua Villas
The main reason I chose Kajane Mua in Ubud
was its 'location'.
From Kajane Mua, it was a 10-minute walk or a 4-minute taxi ride
to the main road where Ubud Art Market,
Starbucks, and the Royal Palace are located.
What's more, the Monkey Forest is just a 10-minute walk away,
and popular live pubs like Laughing Buddha Bar and LOL Bar
are right next to Kajane Mua, making its accessibility excellent.
And you don't even have to walk or take a taxi, as
pick-up and drop-off are available via their shuttle bus,
operating from 08:00 to 22:30!
However, Ubud's roads are narrow and there are many tourists,
so traffic is always congested.
That's why walking often turned out to be faster... haha.
Anyway, if you travel back and forth by taxi from far away,
you're likely to get stuck in traffic. So,
if you're planning to explore Ubud's attractions and restaurants like I did,
I highly recommend finding accommodation in this location.

② Deluxe Pool View Review

First, let me introduce the
Deluxe Pool View room where I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days.
It can accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 child,
but since we were a couple, we were assigned one double bed.
The double bed was just spacious enough
for an adult man and woman to lie side by side.
The room size is 50m², so it was quite spacious for two people.
There was plenty of space for luggage and a wardrobe,
so we were very comfortable during our 3-night, 4-day stay.
As a Deluxe Pool View room, the swimming pool was very clearly visible,
and having a terrace made it perfect for enjoying the scenery,
day or night. Haha.
Interestingly, the refrigerator and mini-bar were on the terrace,
stocked with a coffee pot, coffee, cups, and bottled water.
The bathroom features both a refreshing shower and a relaxing bathtub,
and you'll find everything you need like hand wash, body wash, shampoo & conditioner, toothbrushes, and a hairdryer.
All the bathroom amenities you could wish for were fully stocked.
Many travelers often bring shower filters due to concerns about Bali's water quality,
but here's a tip: only the showerhead attached to the bathtub can be replaced!
During my 3-night, 4-day stay,
I actually didn't bother to replace the showerhead with a filter,
and guess what? Neither my boyfriend nor I experienced any 'Bali Belly' symptoms! Phew!
I went into breakfast without sky-high expectations, but wow,
they had a fantastic spread of fried rice, noodles, delicious fried snacks, all sorts of pastries,
bacon, cereal, sandwiches, and more.
The variety of food was actually much more impressive than I anticipated!
Fresh fruit juices, milk, and coffee were also readily available!
Breakfast Hours: 07:00 ~ 11:00
While the taste wasn't Michelin-star level, it was perfectly satisfying
for a simple morning meal to fuel up. Haha.
There was one fantastic main swimming pool,
and as someone who's 160cm tall, I loved that there were deeper sections where my feet couldn't touch the bottom,
making it super fun for a water-lover like me!
Plus, there weren't many people using it,
which made it wonderfully peaceful and relaxing.
Pool Hours: 07:00 ~ 19:00
You can even enjoy a delightful afternoon tea
right on the poolside sunbeds, how lovely is that?!

the location and room conditions were excellent,
and the friendly staff made my stay incredibly comfortable.
Rather than spending all day at the resort,
