Honestly, it was my first time traveling to Jindo (진도), but

I heard Jindo Sol Beach (진도 쏠비치) was the best in the Jeollanam-do (전라남도) area, so I made a reservation and went.

To get straight to the point:

It was perfect. And it exceeded my expectations.

From the moment you step into the Sol Beach Resort entrance,

the buildings are magnificent, like Greek temples, and at night,

they are all lit up with that warm orange glow.

Wow... the word "amazing" just slips out!

If you're wondering where to stay in Jindo,

First of all, Jindo Sol Beach is a 4-star hotel.

Check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is at 11 AM.

When you arrive, you can check in at the Welcome Center!

And mobile check-out is also available.

If you leave your room key behind, you can still open your door with the Sono Hotels App (소노호텔 앱) on your phone!

The parking space is unbelievably vast, and

there are many EV charging stations, which is very convenient!

And when you check in, they'll give you an introduction to Sol Beach.

It's truly massive! So, you need to listen carefully to their guidance when moving around, and definitely grab a Sol Beach map!

We were assigned to Building C, so after checking in at the Welcome Center,

we headed to Building C!

2. Jindo Sol Beach Ocean View Family Room with Cooking Facilities Review

First, the room we were assigned was

Room 1217, and we booked a Family Ocean View room

with cooking facilities.

That's because we were staying for 2 nights and 3 days,

and since Jindo is an island, food prices tend to be a bit high.

So, we decided to cook simple meals ourselves, even if we planned to eat out sometimes!

I had so much luggage and food for 2 nights and 3 days, and I wondered,

"How will I move all this at once?" But as soon as we got to Building C,

there was a cart right at the entrance, so we could move everything in one go!

It's especially a place frequented by families, so using a cart seems super convenient!

You need to insert a ₩500 (~$0) deposit for the cart.

You can exchange coins at the coin changer next to it, or

if you happen to have a ₩500 (~$0) coin in your car, you can use it temporarily. Since it's a deposit, just like at a supermarket,

you'll get it back after returning the cart!

And next to the cart, you'll see

a shared microwave available for everyone!

For your information, even if you have a cooking-enabled room, you need to come down to the lobby to use this shared microwave when you want to heat up Hetban (햇반) or similar items!

Now, let's review Room 1217, which we were assigned in Building C!

The 12th floor is the very top floor, offering both a stunning sea view and a panoramic vista of the entire hotel.

First off, there were two double beds. They were incredibly clean, and I had such a comfortable sleep without any stiffness or discomfort!

Our room was designed for four people, and the room condition? Absolutely impeccable – simply perfect!

Since it was a room with cooking facilities, it even came with a dining table and chairs, which I found really satisfying!

Oh, but here’s a little tip: the TV is a standard wired model, so OTT streaming services aren't available. Fortunately, we brought our laptop and watched Netflix, so that's something to keep in mind!

There's also a terrace, and stepping out, you're greeted with the sea and the hotel's panoramic view. The photos here are 1:1 ratio, but in reality, it's much wider on both sides! I was so utterly satisfied, it truly felt like the accommodation itself was a breathtaking tourist attraction!

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you might need: pots, a rice cooker, cutlery, an induction cooktop, scissors, knives, a ladle, and even a spatula!

Oh, a quick note: water isn't provided, so it's a good idea to purchase some in advance before you arrive. Just a little heads-up!

The bathroom doesn't feature a separate bathtub, but the toilet is equipped with a bidet, which is a nice touch! Inside the shower booth, you'll find shampoo, body wash, and a generous supply of towels!

And the absolute highlight of the Family Ocean View? It's undoubtedly the stunning transition from sunset to the breathtaking night view. This place is a night view paradise, truly! I honestly felt like I was gazing upon a European vista!

While enjoying some bread at the hotel cafe, I noticed many guests around – some on family trips with their parents, others were seniors, and there were also several group tours. Everyone couldn't stop raving about how wonderful the accommodation was, continually sharing their positive experiences!
