Explore Jindo Island with this perfect 2-day itinerary. Discover stunning coastal views at Sol Beach, fresh local seafood, and rich cultural heritage.
Looking back at our unforgettable family getaway to Jindo Island, I couldn't wait to share this perfect 2-day itinerary. From the Mediterranean vibes of Sol Beach Jindo to the bustling local fish market, historic gardens, and mouthwatering local cuisine, here is our guide to experiencing the best of Jindo with your loved ones.

Sol Beach Jindo: A Stellar First Impression
First impressions of Sol Beach Jindo were absolutely spectacular. Stepping into the lobby, we were greeted by an airy, sophisticated space featuring beautiful arched glass doors and warm beige marble. Stepping outside, the resort feels like a Mediterranean coastal village with its dome-shaped architecture, manicured green lawns, and the sparkling blue sea stretching out before you.

The infinity pool at sunset is a must-experience. Splashing around with the kids while watching the sky turn brilliant shades of orange over the ocean was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip.

Jindo Fish Market: Fresh Sashimi Feast
When traveling to coastal regions, I always prefer exploring local markets over resort dining. We headed to the Jindo Fish Market for an authentic, budget-friendly feast.

We ordered fresh flatfish and croaker sashimi, which were incredibly fresh and exceptionally priced (around ~$35 for a massive platter). Make sure to check their operating hours before you go, as they can close earlier than expected.
The Magical Night Views at Sol Beach
After a satisfying dinner, we returned to Sol Beach Jindo for an evening stroll. Walking through the arched entrance of 'PROVINCE SQUARE,' we were completely mesmerized by the illuminated resort.

The glowing clock tower and the iconic 'SOL BEACH' sign made us feel like we had been transported straight to Europe. Sitting on the lawn, feeling the cool night breeze, and chatting with family was pure healing.
Sitting on the grassy lawn under the stars with the cool sea breeze was the perfect way to wrap up our first day.
Serene Mornings at Ullimsanbang Garden
The next morning, we visited Ullimsanbang, a historic estate nestled in a serene valley. The traditional Korean pavilions and perfectly manicured gardens are incredibly peaceful.

The highlight was the picturesque pond framed by vibrant, blooming crape myrtles. This historic site was once the residence and studio of Heo Ryeon (Sochi), a master of traditional Southern School painting during the Joseon Dynasty.
Breathtaking Panoramic Views from Jindo Tower
Next on our itinerary was Jindo Tower. The grand statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the turtle ship installation are truly impressive. Even though it had just rained, the misty atmosphere made the panoramic views of the ocean, surrounding islands, and the Jindo Bridge even more dramatic.

There is also a marine cable car here that we definitely want to try next time. Tip: Visit during sunset for an unforgettable golden hour view over the archipelago!

Sinhodeung Hoegwan: Legendary Crab Meat Bibimbap

For our final lunch, we stopped at Sinhodeung Hoegwan, a famous local eatery highly recommended by food critics and featured on popular Korean food shows. We ordered their signature raw crab meat bibimbap, and it was absolutely divine—sweet, spicy, and packed with umami flavor. It's a beloved spot for both tourists and locals, so expect a lively crowd!
