Please note: This restaurant is currently closed.
There once was a charming restaurant called 'Windmill and Lake' located along the lakeside trail. It was a unique spot where, if you called, they would send a boat to pick you up! It was known for its delicious food and scenic location. However, it is unfortunately no longer in operation.

While preparing this very post, I gave them a call, hoping to revisit, but was saddened to hear they're no longer open. It's truly a loss!

The *baeksuk* (a traditional boiled chicken dish) and *dakbokkeumtang* (spicy chicken stew) we enjoyed after our vigorous walk were absolutely incredible. It's a real shame that restaurant is no longer operating.
If you're seeking a refreshing getaway near Gwangju or within the broader South Jeolla region, or simply looking for a longer, scenic walking path, I highly recommend the Jangseongho Lakeside Trail. It offers more than just lakeside views; you can also discover the vibrant Yellow and Golden Suspension Bridges, as well as more challenging, hiking-like trails that diverge from the immediate waterfront.
This is a longer route, easily taking over 2 hours to complete if you explore it fully. Stay tuned for a more detailed guide to Jangseongho Lakeside Trail, coming soon!
