I recently traveled to the Magok district in Seoul for a business trip.
I needed a place to stay for one night, but
I couldn't find the right fit immediately near Magok Station.
So, I expanded my search to nearby Balsan Station, which borders the Magok complex.
This area is a hub for business hotels,
and today I want to introduce the property I chose for my trip:
Hotel M Felice at Balsan Station.
1. Hotel Information

Hotel M Felice (Balsan Station) Check-in: 3:00 PM Check-out: 12:00 PM Location: 15 Magokdong-ro 4-gil, Gangseo-gu, Seoul Parking: Dedicated underground parking (Levels B3-B4) Free breakfast included |

The hotel is located just a 5-minute walk from Balsan Station Exit 9.
You can walk to the main Magok business complex in about 10 minutes,
and LG Science Park is practically right next door.
It was my first time in the Balsan area, and I was thrilled to find it packed with restaurants.
It's incredibly easy to grab dinner or a late-night snack here.
Hotel M Felice occupies the upper floors of a commercial building.
The 1st through 6th floors are filled with various shops and businesses,
including a CU convenience store right on the ground floor—super convenient!
2. Lobby and Check-in Details

When you enter the building, you'll see two sets of elevators.
One is strictly for the commercial floors,
so make sure to take the one clearly marked "Hotel Only" (호텔 전용).

The lobby is located on the 7th floor,
while guest rooms occupy the 8th through 13th floors.
Just take the hotel elevator straight up to the 7th floor to check in.

Here is a quick look at the lobby area.
The doors straight ahead lead to the breakfast restaurant,
and on the right, there's a small cafeteria and lounge space.
The front desk is right here as well.

If you're driving, you can use the hotel's dedicated parking on basement levels 3 and 4.
Just remember to get your parking validated at the 7th-floor front desk.
Also, adhering to recent eco-friendly regulations in South Korea, the hotel no longer provides free disposable amenities.
Items like razors, toothbrushes, and toothpaste can be purchased at the counter
for about ~$1.50 (2,000 KRW).
It's best to pack your own toiletries to save a little cash.

One of the main reasons I booked M Felice is that
breakfast is included with the stay.
Although there's a separate price listed for breakfast on the signage,
it's actually included by default when you book a room.
It runs from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM,
which is a perfect timeframe for business travelers heading out to morning meetings.

After checking in, I headed up to my room on the 11th floor.
Inside the elevator, there are buttons on both the wall and near the door.
You must tap your key card on the sensor below the door-side buttons before selecting your floor.
The wall buttons actually don't work—it's a neat security feature once you figure it out!
3. Room Condition

I was assigned Room 1107 on the 11th floor.
I booked their most affordable option, the Deluxe Double Room.
With breakfast included, it cost me about ~$100 for the night.

As with most modern hotels, you slip your key card into the slot
by the entrance to turn on the power.

Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by how spacious it was.
While the overall decor definitely screams "business hotel,"
there was plenty of room to fully open a large suitcase with space to spare.
The generous layout was a big plus for me.
The central heating was also excellent, keeping the room incredibly warm and cozy.

The bed wasn't cloud-like plush, but
it wasn't rock hard either—it was comfortably firm and quite large.
The room featured a small coffee table, a desk, and three chairs,
making it very practical for getting some work done on a laptop or eating takeout.

In the bathroom, the shower stall is separated by a glass door,
though the toilet is situated right next to the sink.

My room didn't have a scenic view;
it faced another residential/office building across the way.
However, the windows do open, which is great for letting in some fresh air.
4. Amenities & Service

The shower comes stocked with four large pump bottles:
shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion.
They also provide plenty of towels—two face towels and two large bath towels.

In-room amenities include instant coffee and green tea bags,
along with a mini-fridge and a hairdryer.
Two bottles of water are provided free of charge daily, so no need to buy your own.

One service detail I really appreciated:
I left a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door when I left for work,
and when I returned, housekeeping had thoughtfully left fresh towels and water outside my door.
Many hotels just skip your room entirely if you decline cleaning,
so this proactive touch was fantastic.
5. Breakfast

Finally, let's talk about the breakfast.
You receive one breakfast coupon per night of your stay.
Just hand it in at the 7th-floor restaurant
to enjoy a simple but satisfying morning meal.

The menu isn't overly extravagant, but it hits the spot.
You'll find Western staples like sausages, toast, scrambled eggs, cereal, and fresh fruit.
It's a modest setup, but exactly what you want for a quick morning bite.

On the day I visited, they were serving Pork Kimchi Stew.
Starting the day with a hearty bowl of kimchi stew, eggs, sausage,
and some spicy salted squid was absolutely delicious.
I finished off with a quick bowl of frosted flakes.
For a complimentary breakfast, the quality and variety were highly satisfying.
6. Final Thoughts
Between the spacious room layout, the excellent location, and the free breakfast,
Hotel M Felice at Balsan Station exceeded my expectations.
If I have another business trip to the Magok area,
I would definitely stay here again.
The ability to walk to major corporate offices in Magok,
combined with the abundance of late-night restaurants right outside,
made it incredibly convenient day and night.
Because it's relatively close to Gimpo Airport, I noticed quite a few
international travelers staying here as well.
If you have an early morning flight out of Gimpo Airport,
this is a fantastic, budget-friendly option to consider.
