Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu: The Ultimate Staycation Guide
A 5-Star Getaway with a Premium Buffet and Family Pool

Hi everyone!
I'm your travel guide, Nabongsun.
My recent trip to Daegu was a big family affair,
including my brother, sister-in-law,
and my adorable 5-year-old nephew!
We stayed at Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu, a fantastic 5-star hotel
known for its incredible value, top-tier buffet,
and awesome kid-friendly pool.
With its pristine facilities, spacious rooms,
a variety of amenities, and an absolutely
delicious breakfast buffet, it was the perfect place
for a relaxing staycation.
Since it features a dedicated kids' pool,
it's highly popular among families traveling with children.
Let's dive into the details of the breakfast, pool, and rooms
at Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu!

There are actually two Inter-Burgo properties in Daegu,
so make sure you book the right one for your style!

The original Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu
is a resort-style property located right by the Geumho River.
It has a wonderful, relaxing vacation vibe,
complete with lovely walking paths and a kids' pool—
perfect for a relaxing family staycation.
On the other hand, the downtown location,
Hotel Inter-Burgo EXCO,
is primarily a business and convention-focused hotel.
It offers convenient shopping access
and is typically chosen by those in town for business,
exhibitions, or concerts.

Since we were on a family trip,
we wanted a spacious, laid-back vibe
surrounded by nature. That's why we chose
the Inter-Burgo by the Geumho River.

Since we were 3 adults and 1 child,
we booked two Park Standard Twin rooms (for 2 people)
with breakfast included.
If you opt out of breakfast, the rooms are incredibly affordable—
coming in at around ~$96 per night, even on peak-season weekdays!

Since it's a highly popular hotel in Daegu,
if it happens to be fully booked, you can easily compare rates
and find nearby options through Agoda.
I highly recommend using Agoda to book
at the best discounted rates!

Within a 10-minute drive, you'll find plenty of spots to explore,
like the scenic Ayang Railroad Bridge—great for a breezy walk—
Dongchon Amusement Park, which is perfect for bike rides,
the National Daegu Museum and Daegu Aquarium for cool indoor exhibits,
and Suseong Lake, a lovely place to stroll
and enjoy the night views.
Even the bustling downtown area of Dongseong-ro
is only about a 20-minute drive away.

The Inter-Burgo property is divided into two main areas:
the Main Building and the Park Village.

The Main Building offers scenic Geumho River views
and houses the reception desk, the famous buffet restaurant,
and key amenities like the indoor pool, sauna,
and fitness center for ultimate convenience.

We opted for the more budget-friendly Park Village,
but since it is fully connected to the Main Building indoors,
moving back and forth between the two wings
was incredibly easy and seamless.

We were assigned adjoining Park Standard Twin Rooms
right next to each other.

At 25m², the room featured two comfortable single beds.
The interior boasted modern colors and warm wood tones,
creating a sophisticated yet cozy ambiance
that was incredibly inviting.
Even the view of the park outside felt peaceful and charming.
Living up to its status as a beloved 5-star hotel in Korea,
the beds were crisp, clean, and perfectly plush.
Waking up to the sweet sound of birds chirping outside
felt like a pure healing experience.
Opposite the bed was a TV, and to the side was a neat desk
perfect for getting some work done
or getting ready in the morning.
There was also a cute little round table,
which made the perfect spot to enjoy some morning tea.

The open closet near the room entrance
held thick, fluffy bathrobes,
and I found disposable slippers in the drawer right below.
There was also a coffee machine, an electric kettle,
instant coffee, tea, a wine opener,
and mugs ready to go.
In the mini-fridge underneath,
two complimentary bottles of water were waiting for us.

The bathroom was just as immaculate.
It’s clear that Hotel Inter-Burgo really knows how
to use lighting to set the mood—
even the bathroom had lovely accent lighting
that made it feel extra special.
I also appreciated the powerful hair dryer and the generous supply of towels.
The body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion
were neatly presented in large, eco-friendly dispensers.
We brought our own toothbrushes and toothpaste,
but they did provide a comb, a shower cap, cotton pads, and other essentials.
To be honest, since this is known as one of the most budget-friendly 5-star hotels in Korea,
I didn't expect the room condition to be this amazing.
But it was so clean, fresh, and beautifully styled
that I fell completely in love with it.

Since it's famous as a Daegu hotel with a great indoor kids' pool,
we made sure to reserve our pool session and enjoyed every single minute of it!

On the 1st floor of the main building,

the fitness center and the standard indoor pool were surprisingly spacious!
Just a quick tip for the fitness center: you must bring
a separate pair of clean indoor workout shoes to enter.

The Four-Season Pool area features its own lockers and showers,
so it was super convenient to store our things, change, and rinse off.
We went down at our reserved time during check-in,
and we even got to use the handy swimsuit spin dryer afterward.
A swimming cap or baseball cap is strictly required,
and they do sell them on-site if you forget yours.
They also had a great selection of kids' life jackets
and wearable swim tubes available to use for free,
so you don't even have to pack a ton of swim gear
to have a blast.
The water in the Four-Season Pool was wonderfully warm,
making it absolutely perfect for playing with the kids.
There was also a shallow pool area where toddlers and infants
could safely splash around and join in on the fun,

The hot spring water was around 40°C (104°F), which was a bit too warm for the little ones to jump in,
but for me, it felt like all the built-up fatigue in my body was just melting away.

The central pool features a transparent glass wall on one side,
which made for some super fun and creative photos
of the kids swimming!
Overall, the kids' pool isn't massive,
but it's incredibly clean and operates on a reservation system.
Because it never felt crowded, we could relax
and enjoy our swim time to the absolute fullest.

Usually, when I visit Daegu, I skip the hotel breakfast to explore the city's famous food scene.
But since I’d heard so many rumors about the legendary quality
of the Inter-Burgo Daegu buffet, I knew I had to book it.

Featuring local Korean dishes, Western favorites, fresh salads, seasonal fruits, artisan bakeries,
made-to-order egg dishes, desserts, and more—
every single item was top-notch quality. There wasn't a single "filler" dish,
and we were constantly wowed by how delicious everything tasted!

I heard that the lunch and dinner buffets feature even more premium meats, fresh seafood, and sushi.
The grand atmosphere and next-level food quality definitely made me want to
revisit on my next trip to Daegu.

Every single staff member was incredibly kind,
making our hotel breakfast feel like a truly pampered and premium dining experience.
In addition, the hotel features a traditional Korean fine dining restaurant called "Cymbidium,"
a cozy cafe-meets-pocha (Korean street bar) called "Day Glass Night Star," a stylish lounge bar,

and even a massive bakery café called "Daein Bejjang"!
It's truly the perfect Daegu accommodation where you can enjoy a complete, luxurious 'hocance' (hotel staycation) without ever needing to leave the property.

On top of that, there's a convenient store, an indoor golf range,
and an 18-hole putting green—offering endless entertainment, activities, and dining options right at your fingertips.

Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu was the absolute perfect spot
to enjoy a fabulous staycation with the kids at a very reasonable price.
My 5-year-old nephew had the absolute best time running along the riverside walking paths,
splashing in the kids' pool, and feasting on the top-tier breakfast.
It was a wonderful, memorable experience for the whole family.
For the remaining nights of our 3-day trip, we stayed at a budget-friendly hotel downtown.
But if you want to spend at least one day treating yourself to a luxury pool-hotel staycation in Daegu,
I highly recommend booking a night here to unwind and enjoy a beautiful, relaxing day.
