If you're planning a Tokyo trip centered around Shibuya, where you can enjoy shopping, amazing food, and stunning nightscapes,

Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya was an incredibly appealing choice for its location alone.

It's within walking distance from Shibuya Station,

and you can easily walk to the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, Shibuya Sky,

and even Mega Don Quijote, making it super convenient to plan your actual itinerary.

What truly stood out was that the rooms are located on the upper floors, from the 13th to the 28th,

allowing you to soak in Tokyo's incredible city views right from your room!

1. Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya: Essential Information

Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya by IHG is a 5-star boutique hotel located in Dogenzaka, Shibuya.

Opened in 2023, it's a relatively new hotel featuring a trendy design inspired by Shibuya's unique music and street culture.

Since this visit was to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my husband,

I was looking for a hotel that offered more than just a place to sleep –

somewhere we could truly enjoy our time in the room as well.

In conclusion, while the location was fantastic,

what really made it special was the unexpected

room upgrade service, thanks to which

It truly was a hotel that left an even more special memory!

(I sent our wedding invitation to the reservations team via email,

requesting them to pay special attention as it was our wedding anniversary!)

2. Shibuya Station Accessibility & Nearby Attractions

The biggest advantage of Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya is

that Shibuya Station and major tourist attractions

are within walking distance.

From Shibuya Station to the hotel,

it takes approximately 3 to 6 minutes on foot, depending on the exit you use.

After passing Shibuya Scramble Crossing,

you can head towards Dogenzaka.

With shopping malls, amazing restaurants, and convenient facilities all concentrated around the hotel,

it makes planning your Tokyo independent travel itinerary incredibly convenient!

3. Premium Room Review

Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya's rooms boast

a more unique interior design

compared to typical Japanese business hotels!

This time, because it was our wedding anniversary,

I sent our wedding invitation to the reservations team and requested a special service,

and I was thrilled to receive a premium room upgrade,

which made exploring the room even more delightful!

What I loved most and found most impressive about the room was

the overall atmosphere of the hotel!

Generally, when I think of Tokyo hotels,

clean and practical interiors usually come to mind first,

but this place had a distinct feel, more akin to a design hotel.

The minibar, bathroom, and amenity selections were also

incredibly satisfactory, truly befitting a 5-star hotel!

Unlike many Japanese hotels, the room space was wonderfully generous,

making it perfect for spreading out and utilizing the space comfortably.

At Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya,

what I was most satisfied with was definitely

the breathtaking Shibuya city view from the high-floor rooms.

The rooms are located from the 13th to the 28th floor,

and we were upgraded to a high-floor room,

so we could look down on Tokyo's urban jungle.

Honestly, I thought you'd have to go to a separate observation deck in Tokyo

to see a fantastic night view,

but being able to enjoy the city views right from our accommodation

was incredibly satisfying!

4. Lobby & Facilities

Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya is

a boutique hotel that's not only stylish in its rooms but also in its lobby, restaurant,

fitness center, and even its outdoor terrace.

12th Floor Check-in Lobby

When you enter the hotel building,

you need to take a dedicated elevator up to the 12th-floor lobby

to check in.

The check-in staff were incredibly friendly and fluent in English, too!

We arrived earlier than the check-in time,

left our luggage, explored Shibuya, and then came back.

They had already moved our luggage to the room,

and even escorted us to the elevator,

which really impressed us with their kindness.

11th Floor Gallery 11 Breakfast Restaurant

Hotel breakfast is available at the

Gallery 11 restaurant, located on the 11th floor.

We didn't opt for breakfast this time,

but out of curiosity, I took a peek at the breakfast area myself.

Overall, it had a clean and sophisticated vibe,

and the space was stylishly decorated, which I loved!

Next to it, there's also a spacious outdoor terrace.

It was captivating to overlook the surrounding buildings and

Shibuya's streets from the open-air space.

12th Floor Fitness Center

Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya also features

a fitness center available for guests.

The fitness center is located on the 12th floor,

and is open 24 hours.

While it's not as expansive as a large hotel gym,

it's a practical space for a light workout during your trip.
