it's definitely a place where I highly recommend staying for at least one night (or more!).

Let’s dive right into my review of Hotel Emion Kyoto-

Hotel Emion Kyoto at a Glance

For anyone looking for a family hotel in Kyoto,

Hotel Emion Kyoto is

literally a place that had me thinking,

"Wow, I really nailed this booking!"

from the absolute second we walked in!😎

The exterior was incredibly clean and modern,

with an elegant, upscale vibe to top it off.

We spent the entire day exploring,

so we ended up checking in quite late.

Thankfully, since the front desk is open 24/7,

the whole check-in process was a total breeze!

And the staff? Incredibly kind and helpful!

The lobby was also pristine and beautiful,

making the brief wait during check-in

feel like a relaxing break.

Even on the way up to our room after checking in,

the luxurious art objects and beautiful accent walls

made the entire hallway feel like a chic art gallery!

Spacious Rooms That Feel Huge Even for 3 to 4 Adults!

When you think of typical Japanese hotel rooms,

the word "tiny" usually comes to mind first, right?

But let me tell you, this place is a total game-changer.

blew me away with how incredibly spacious and comfortable the rooms are!

My parents, my sibling, and I—

a group of 4 adults in total—stayed here, and...

Even with multiple suitcases laid out wide,

there was plenty of room to walk around without getting in anyone's way.

The toilet and shower area were completely separate,

and there was a sparkling clean, spacious bathtub inside.

If you don't feel like heading down to the public bath,

having a relaxing soak right in your room would be just as amazing.

The room I booked was the

'Standard Triple Room'.

Since I booked for four guests,

they added an extra bed for us.

A lot of times, extra beds can feel tiny and cramped,

but that definitely wasn't the case here at Hotel Emion Kyoto!

There was also a cozy little table and sofa set.

The free Wi-Fi was super fast throughout the property,

making it perfect to lounge in bed

and upload travel photos and videos in real-time!

How to Enjoy the Kyoto Hotel's Public Bath

One of the biggest reasons I booked Hotel Emion Kyoto

was definitely the presence of their traditional public bath (Daiyokujo).

After walking miles exploring Kyoto all day long,

your feet and legs can get incredibly tired and sore, right?

Soaking in hot water is the ultimate way

to melt away all that travel fatigue,

so having access to a steaming hot public bath was a major plus.

When a hotel's public bath closes early, you're constantly rushing back and checking your watch. But at Hotel Emion Kyoto, the bath stays open until 1:00 AM! This meant we could complete our full daily itinerary and head back late without feeling rushed, making it a huge, stress-free perk of staying here.

And...

Comfortable loungewear was laid out on each bed,

and you can wear these when heading down to the public bath.

They're unisex and one-size-fits-all,

and actually looked pretty stylish—I totally loved them!

Best Price Comparison & Booking Tips

No matter how great a place is, if the price tag is outrageous,

it's hard to hit that 'book' button.

Thankfully, the rates here are incredibly reasonable!

I've compared prices across various platforms

as of the date of writing this post.

Hotel Emion Kyoto: Pros, Cons, and Final Verdict

The pros and cons of Hotel Emion are very clear.

First, the pros: super spacious rooms that comfortably fit

3 to 4 adults, and a wonderful public bath open until 1:00 AM.

Plus, a 24-hour front desk that makes late check-ins a breeze!

It's also right in front of the station, making it incredibly easy

to roll your luggage right on in.

Personally, there was only one downside to this place.

The distance from JR Kyoto Station!

Sure, it's just a 1-minute walk from the hotel to the station,

but the nearest station isn't Kyoto Station—

it's 'Umekoji-Kyotonishi' Station.

You have to go one stop past Kyoto Station!

Since some people might find this a bit inconvenient,

I wanted to mention it here.

But honestly, it's just one extra stop,

so I didn't find it to be a hassle at all.
