Discover Hotel Continental Palacete in Barcelona. A boutique hotel in Eixample offering medieval charm, spacious rooms, and an unbeatable central location.

Of all the places I stayed in Barcelona, this was by far the most glamorous,
giving off major vibes of stepping straight into the Middle Ages—
Hotel Continental Palacete!
With its fantastic location and spacious rooms, I already know I want to book it again
on my next trip to Barcelona. I highly recommend it!
When I searched online, I noticed there were barely any reviews for this hotel,
so today I'm going to write a detailed review covering everything
from its location and rooms to the breakfast!
Location

Hotel Continental Palacete is a 3-star hotel
just a 3-minute walk from Gràcia metro station,
and a 5-minute walk to both Plaça de Catalunya and Casa Batlló.

📍 Hotel Continental Palacete
Rambla de Catalunya, 30, Eixample, 08007 Barcelona, Spain
In Barcelona, except for the Gaudi tours,
most of the attractions are best reached
by bus or on foot rather than by metro.
So when choosing your accommodation, you should check if there are great restaurants nearby,
and how close it is to Plaça de Catalunya and downtown.

It was also amazing having three famous honey cod restaurants nearby,
so we could choose one based on our craving!
Pricing

I originally booked a Superior City View room,
but since we checked in late at night, they told us they ran out of those rooms
and upgraded us to their finest Suite..!
The room we originally booked was already spacious and nice,
but the Suite was on a whole different level...

It had a separate bedroom and living room, a fireplace, a sofa, a TV,
and even large windows overlooking downtown Barcelona!

To match the glamorous vibe, the bathroom featured elegant white tones with gold accents
and was stocked with vibrant hot pink towels.
I originally booked the Superior City View room for ~$192
and got upgraded to the Suite.
When I looked it up, the Suite normally costs around ~$320 to ~$384!
Prices vary wildly depending on the season,
so I highly recommend checking the rates on each site!

Suite Room Review

Oh my goodness, I never thought I'd stay in a room with a real chandelier...
The ceilings are incredibly high!

Staring out at the streets of Barcelona from the living room,
I really felt like a millionaire
(felt like I was Batlló himself...)
Here's a quick video clip of the entire living room.

The bedroom features two cozy single beds, a small vanity,
a mini-fridge, a small TV, a closet, and an en-suite bathroom.

Just a heads-up, though—amenities like slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are not provided.
Also, I'm not sure if this is just a standard thing for hotels in Barcelona,
but every single hotel I stayed at during this trip had an all-in-one
shampoo, conditioner, and body wash combo.
Since I always pack my own shampoo and hair treatments
whenever I travel to Europe, it wasn't a big deal for me!
Breakfast

You can enjoy breakfast in the cozy shared lounge.
And it's not just for the morning—in the evening, you can head back here
to enjoy complimentary welcome drinks and light bites.

They have a massive selection of whiskies.
If you're a spirits lover, this place is basically paradise.

Breakfast is a classic European continental spread,
but the variety is seriously impressive.
They serve savory staples like sausages, ham, various egg dishes, and authentic jamón,
making it perfect for a filling morning meal.

There's also a gorgeous spread of fruits and pastries, with over 10 different varieties ready to go!

With juices, fresh coffee, draft beer, cereal, and yogurt,
this breakfast literally has absolutely everything..❤️

This hotel was absolutely perfect in terms of location, room condition, and breakfast!
There are so many great spots nearby, including famous honey cod restaurants and major attractions.
I highly recommend it, especially if you have a Gaudi tour planned for the next day!
