After devouring a hearty bowl of pork gukbap at #SandeomiMiseongPorkGukbap,
we started making our way towards Dongdaegu Station to catch our train.
But it felt a little too soon to leave...🥹
So, we decided to grab a coffee before heading out!
My friend Jjanyi stumbled upon this incredible #StrawberryCakeSpot nearby.
Just so you know, I'm a huge strawberry cake fan...

If you're traveling with luggage, I highly recommend storing it in the lockers at Dongdaegu Station before visiting.
Why? Because this place is located up a seriously steep hill! We didn't realize until we got there, and by the time we reached the counter to order, we were completely out of breath, gasping, "Excuse us, owner, just a moment!" 😂
Heewoon Jekwa feels like a renovated ground floor of a charming old house, offering a variety of seating options.
There's a standard cafe table area.
An open room-like space with a slightly raised floor.

There was also a small, quiet, dimly lit space tucked away, almost like an attic room!
Now, for the most important part: the desserts!
Because, let's be real, I came here for the strawberry cake.
These are truly the kind of cakes you only see on Instagram...❤️
They were all so beautiful and looked incredibly delicious, I had a serious internal struggle deciding what to get!
Especially that chocolate strawberry cake with fresh strawberries on top... Do you see it?
Even writing about it now, I regret not being able to try it! 😭
With less than 30 minutes before our train, we sadly had to settle for just the #FreshCreamStrawberryCake!
If only we had an hour, we would have ordered at least three slices! 😭
Such a shame... 💦
If cake isn't your thing, they also have scones, cookies, and financiers.
After all, it's a bakery, so the selection is fantastic! ✨
And voilà!
We ordered one Fresh Cream Strawberry Cake,
one Iced Americano,
and two Heewoon Lattes (their signature drink). 🐷
The Heewoon Latte was incredibly smooth. It wasn't overly sweet, but had a delightful sweetness that paired perfectly with our dessert. 🤍
If you're looking for a cafe near Dongdaegu Station, especially if you're a cake lover, you absolutely must stop by!
