Looking for an affordable oceanfront stay on Korea's east coast? Here is our honest review of Healyngton Resort in Yeongdeok, starting at just ~$70 a night.

Hey there, fellow travelers! It's KKoorin here. :)
I recently took a much-needed coastal getaway to Yeongdeok with my parents!
Since Yeongdeok is a bit spread out from the main town area, I was determined to find a place right on the water. I spent hours searching for an oceanfront room with two double beds, but the prices for those panoramic ocean views were sky-high!
But you know me—I don't give up easily.
I managed to find an incredible oceanfront resort that you can book for around ~$70 a night on weekdays!
Make sure to read until the very end, because I've shared

1. Exterior & Check-In

Parking is a breeze here. There is a massive parking lot right in front of the building, so you won't have to stress about finding a spot.
When you're traveling with family, loading and unloading heavy luggage can be a hassle if the parking spaces are tight. But the spots here are incredibly wide—even beginner drivers will find it easy to park!

This is what #HealyngtonResort looks like from the beachside.
The property literally sits right on the shoreline. If you are visiting Yeongdeok specifically for those coastal views, I cannot recommend this place enough!
During my two-day stay, I started every single morning with a peaceful walk along the beach. It was pure bliss.
2. The Ocean View Room
I booked the
Standard Double Twin Ocean View (2 Queen Beds)
room type!

Since there were three adults in our group, we needed at least two beds.
I opted for the room with two queen beds, and they actually felt as spacious as king-size beds!
They were more than large enough for two people to sleep comfortably without feeling crowded. 😊

Even with our large suitcases fully opened, there was plenty of floor space to move around.
There was also a separate table and chairs, which was perfect for our family to gather around for late-night snacks and drinks.
Although I missed grabbing a photo of it, the room also features a small kitchenette for light cooking.
Keep in mind that the microwave and water purifier are located in the shared hallway, so plan accordingly!

The vanity table made getting ready in the morning super convenient.
It was stocked with a hairdryer, extra toilet paper, and even bug spray—a thoughtful touch since the resort is right by the water!
You might spot disposable toothbrushes in the photo, but as many hotels in Korea are phasing out single-use plastics for environmental reasons, it’s always a good idea to pack your own toiletries just in case!

The ocean view was absolutely breathtaking—even better than I expected.
Waking up to the morning sun sparkling across the vast blue ocean through the floor-to-ceiling windows was pure magic.
The stone breakwater you see in the photo is literally a 1-minute walk away.
Whenever you feel like feeling the sea breeze, you can just step outside and be on the shore instantly.
3. On-Site Amenities
If you're traveling with kids, an indoor play area is an absolute lifesaver, right?
Healyngton Resort has a dedicated indoor play zone for children.
The best part is that it connects directly to the cafe on the upper floor, so parents can enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee while keeping an eye on their kids playing below.

I took these photos early in the morning before the play zone opened, which is why the lights are dimmed. :)
The stairs on the right lead straight up to the first-floor cafe!

Beyond the play area, the resort offers an outdoor swimming pool, a screen golf simulator, and an on-site convenience store.
Whether you're visiting with family, friends, or as a couple, there's something here for everyone.

You can even order meals directly at the resort, making it incredibly easy to just stay in, relax, and soak up the ocean views without having to drive out for dinner.
4. Overall Verdict & Discount Codes
With its spacious rooms, two queen beds, endless ocean views, and hassle-free parking, this resort offers incredible value for your money.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the room was absolutely spotless.
I would definitely book a stay here again next time I visit Yeongdeok.
If you are looking for a peaceful, budget-friendly healing trip by the ocean, I highly recommend Healyngton Resort!
