Hanoi Fine Dining Spot Salmonoid Salmonoid |

Following the recent popularity of 'The Black and White Chef', interest in fine dining spots has soared.
Many hidden fine dining gems abroad are also being introduced.
1. Salmonoid
Location

Salmonoid is nestled between 'Hanoi Train Street' and 'Temple of Literature'.
It's right next to the "Vietnam Fine Arts Museum" in Hanoi, renowned for its captivating art exhibitions.
The restaurant's entrance is a bit discreet, so it might take a moment to spot.
Atmosphere

Step through a charming, nature-inspired narrow pathway and ascend the stairs to the entrance, and you'll discover a pristine Western-style restaurant, a complete departure from the bustling streets outside.

Its modern yet cozy ambiance makes it an ideal choice for special anniversaries.
While each floor is intimate, offering six tables,
the third floor boasts lovely window views,
and there are even charming outdoor terrace seats available.

The spot in the photo
is a window seat on the 3rd floor.
*When making a reservation, request a window seat on the 3rd floor; outdoor seating might be hot.
Even the restrooms are well-equipped with thoughtful amenities like cotton swabs, hair ties, and more,
making you truly feel like you're receiving thoughtful service down to the smallest details.
2. Menu
A La Carte Menu

Set Menu

There are separate menus for individual dishes and for set meals.
Set menus are prepared as courses.
The menu is **developed periodically**, so
a menu different from the photos might be available.

There's also a menu option where you can enjoy
all items listed on the menu for their Sunday Brunch.
📋Sunday Brunch📋
Order over 30 dishes across 5 rounds!
Saturdays & Sundays 10:30 AM ~ 2:00 PM
Standard Menu: ~$388
Premium Menu: ~$478
Half price for children / Free for ages 6 and under
(Excludes main course - steak, and beverages)
3. Taste Review
salmon tartare ~$157
meat and fish ~$269
black pasta & burrata ~$246

Starting with perfectly baked **pre-dinner bread and homemade herb butter**
The bread had a scone-like texture.
It was the only bread I truly enjoyed in Hanoi.

Salmon Tartare (Salmon tartare)
The salmon tartare I ordered as an appetizer came in a small bowl...
...filled with **cubed salmon and crispy fried rice grains**.
The popping rice grains blended perfectly with the tender salmon, creating
a **delightful texture**.
It tastes even better when wrapped in the seaweed provided.

Beef and Salmon (Meat and fish)
For our main course, we ordered the Angus beef steak and the salmon steak.
The **salmon steak** was a masterpiece, with its **crispy skin and perfectly flaky interior**.
When paired with the fragrant **basil potato purée**,
it was the best salmon steak I've ever tasted.
I saw some Google reviews indicating that the steak was a hit-or-miss for some,
but I ordered mine medium-rare, and the doneness was perfect, as was the texture.
So, I highly recommend it.

Burrata Cheese Squid Ink Spaghetti (Black pasta & burrata)
Squid ink spaghetti topped with a whole burrata cheese.
The **deep umami flavor of the tomato purée sauce**, combined with
**sun-dried tomatoes**, intensified the tomato flavor twofold.
The soft burrata cheese harmonized beautifully with it.
4. Conclusion

Although I didn't get to try the Sunday Brunch, where you can enjoy over 30 dishes
for approximately ~$22, like an unlimited refill,
I highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit on a weekend.
Both the à la carte menu and the courses offer excellent dishes.
The fact that you can enjoy top-notch service in a modern ambiance at
a **reasonable price is a major advantage of Salmonoid**.
If you're looking for a restaurant with a great atmosphere in Hanoi,
I highly recommend Salmonoid.
