Hanoi Noi Bai Lotus Lounge Review 2026: Showers Before Your Night Flight
Need a refresh before your red-eye from Hanoi? The Noi Bai International Airport Lotus Lounge offers showers and comfort, making your layover or late departure a breeze. Find out how to get in!

When you're transiting through Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport,
or heading home after exploring Hanoi.
What if your layover is a bit awkward?
After finishing up your city tour for an early morning flight,
and your whole body is drenched in sweat, you'll definitely want a shower.
I chose Vietnam Airlines for my flight,
which took me from Kuala Lumpur, transiting through Hanoi,
and back to Busan.

After checking out from my hotel, I departed from KLIA airport.
I arrived in Hanoi around midnight Korean time.
After a layover at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport,
I decided to use a **lounge** before boarding my connecting flight to Busan.

Many flights to Southeast Asia depart late at night or early in the morning,
so it's common to have a long waiting time before boarding.
Even if you're not flying Business Class, **lounge access is**
**definitely possible**.
If you're looking for a peaceful space to recharge instead of the crowded gate area,
using a lounge can truly be a lifesaver.

I flew with Vietnam Airlines (Business Class) and
used the Lotus Lounge, located on the 4th floor of the departure hall (take the escalator near gates 28-29).

It's a highly rated spot among travelers, as it's accessible not only to SkyTeam Elite Plus members or
Business Class passengers, but also by purchasing an entrance ticket in advance
or using an affiliated lounge card.
The only downside? It can be a little tricky to find!
The airport is quite large, so just keep an eye out.
Look for the standee featuring a Vietnam Airlines uniform.

1. A Place to Shower Before Your Night Flight
Enduring a 4-5 hour night flight after sweating all day in Southeast Asia's characteristic heat and humidity
can be more exhausting than you'd think.
Taking a refreshing shower at a facility with proper amenities
before boarding your flight, and then arriving back in Korea early the next morning,
definitely helps reduce fatigue.

The individual shower booths offer a private experience,
and are equipped with towels, basic amenities, and a hairdryer.

📍Pro Tip
During peak hours after 10 PM, when many night flights depart,
there might be a wait for the showers.
It's best to inquire about shower availability at the counter right after entering the lounge
and confirm your turn to ensure a relaxed experience.

Finishing a warm shower before boarding and changing into light clothing
makes a significant difference in comfort throughout your flight.
2. Hot Meals and Pho Corner with a Taste of Vietnam
The buffet corner in the center of the lounge offers everything from light finger foods to a hearty, freshly made pho station.
If you're in Vietnam, you absolutely *have* to get a bowl of pho first!

Since it was late at night, a warm bowl of soup felt much better on my stomach than heavy food,
and meant I could skip the in-flight meal and get some good sleep.

Besides these, there are also a variety of other menu options, as well as beer and wine,
so you can relax and enjoy yourself until it's time to board your flight.

I've flown with Vietnam Airlines several times,
and delays have been quite frequent.
Instead of standing around in the late night or early morning hours, often without enough chairs to wait,
it's definitely better to wait comfortably in a lounge.

What's more, this place is well-equipped with power outlets and charging ports,
making it perfect for charging your phone or tablet, or catching up on urgent work.

3. Consider Your Departure Time and Airport Movement Flow
The international terminal at Noi Bai Airport has a somewhat long distance to the gates.
While flight departure information screens are updated in real-time within the lounge,
there aren't loud boarding announcements, so you'll need to frequently check your personal departure time.

Boarding typically begins 30-40 minutes before departure,
so I recommend leaving the lounge at least 45 minutes beforehand to make your way to the gate with plenty of time.
(However, since delays are frequent, there wasn't really a need to go especially early.)

4. Shower-Equipped Lounge vs. Value-for-Money Lounge
Beyond the Lotus Lounge, there are other lounges located at Hanoi Noi Bai Airport.

The first option is a shower-equipped lounge,
priced at around ~$36 per person.
It boasts shower facilities and even a space where you can get some light work done.

The second option allows up to two children under 5 years old to enter for free per adult.
It's also an affordable option, priced at around ~$22 per person,
so if you're not overly concerned about food quality
and have children under 5, this is a highly recommended spot.

5. Checking Southeast Asia Flights Departing from Busan
For trips departing from Busan's Gimhae Airport, which has significantly fewer direct routes to Southeast Asia than Incheon,
I often make use of connecting flights.
Of course, this can add 2-4 hours to the travel time compared to a direct flight,
but it's also great for a quick break in between,
and sometimes it's even perfect for staying 2-3 days in the layover city.
What's more, for the Busan-Kuala Lumpur direct flight route scheduled to start this December with Malaysia Airlines,
tickets for connecting flights via Vietnam are often much cheaper than direct flights.

If you find yourself with a layover in Hanoi while comparing flight prices,
I'd definitely recommend making use of a lounge during your break time.
