On my way to explore the breathtaking beauty of Banff, Canada, I had a one-day layover in Vancouver.
Because I wanted a stress-free transit, I went on the hunt for a budget-friendly hotel that was close to YVR airport, offered a free airport shuttle, and sat within easy walking distance of the SkyTrain station to explore downtown.
Plus, with most room rates including a hot breakfast, it's the absolute perfect spot if you have an early morning flight the next day!

3. Hotel Exterior & Getting There
After landing early in the morning at YVR, we hopped right onto the hotel's complimentary airport shuttle and arrived at the property in no time!

Pickup Area: 3rd Floor DEPARTURES Shuttle Zone
Departs at :15 and :45 past the hour

*Pro-tip: Reserve your return shuttle slot during check-in!
The hotel is just an 8-minute walk to Bridgeport Station.
From there, you can hop on the Canada Line and reach downtown Vancouver in under 20 minutes. It made exploring the city incredibly easy!
4. Room Condition
The room was overall very spacious, clean, and modern!
There was plenty of space to lay out two large suitcases without feeling cramped. True to the Hilton brand, the bedding was plush and incredibly comfortable.
We booked a room featuring a sofa bed, which gave us a nice cozy area to unwind with a local craft beer at the end of the day!

The room also comes equipped with a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and a spacious work desk, making it a great option for business travelers too.
The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
I loved the modern glass-partitioned walk-in shower—it kept the rest of the bathroom completely dry and clean.

The breakfast is a generous buffet-style Western spread with plenty of options to choose from!

We managed to fuel up with a hearty meal before our flight. If you have an early departure, I highly recommend grabbing a quick bite here before you head out!

From the hotel to the airport, it departs at 5 and 35 minutes past the hour, and it is recommended to reserve in advance upon check-in. The shuttle operates from 3:30 AM to 11:45 PM.
The hotel is an 8-minute walk from Bridgeport Station. If you take the train from that station, you can reach downtown Vancouver in less than 20 minutes.
