Green SM Taxi Vietnam 2026: Promo Codes & Review

Move over Grab! There is a new, incredibly popular ride-hailing app dominating the streets of Vietnam.

Meet GREEN SM (formerly known as Xanh SM).

Green SM is an eco-friendly, all-electric taxi service operated by VinFast, Vietnam's leading EV manufacturer. If you want a clean, quiet, and sustainable ride, this is your best option!

*Note: While many locals still refer to it as Xanh SM, the app has officially rebranded to GREEN SM.

The best part for travelers? You do not need a local Vietnamese phone number to register. You can easily complete your registration and verification using WhatsApp!

Because they run entirely on clean electric energy, Green SM rides are often cheaper than Grab. Plus, their fleet of cars and scooters is brand new, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. It has quickly become my go-to transport option in Vietnam!

Once you download the app and sign up, make sure to enter this referral code to unlock exclusive welcome benefits:

XANHZWSO4H

While the exact referral reward varies throughout the year, users typically receive a handy discount coupon just for signing up with a code!

When I first signed up, I searched all over Google and social media for a working referral code but couldn't find one, so I had to sign up without any perks. Make sure you don't miss out on yours!

Exclusive Promo Codes for Vietnam Airlines Passengers

If you are flying with Vietnam Airlines, you are in luck! They run regular partnership campaigns with Green SM. Use the following code for a massive discount on your airport transfers:

VNAXANH50

This specific campaign is active and valid for rides through December 31, 2026!

Because the app's rebranding from Xanh SM to Green SM is still relatively fresh, you will notice that almost all active discount codes still use "XANH" in their names.

Be careful when searching for codes on Google, as many older codes have already expired.

If you want the absolute latest user-shared codes, try searching on Threads or local expat groups—sometimes you can find hidden gems that work perfectly. Safe travels and enjoy your eco-friendly rides across Vietnam!
