Hey there, fellow travelers!
Since we were arriving late in Bangkok, we decided to book a budget-friendly hotel near Khao San Road for our first night.
Our chosen spot? The Gravitee @ Khao San Hotel!

It’s super close to Khao San Road, only about a 5-minute walk, yet the rooms are surprisingly quiet. At around ~$49 a night, it was a perfect choice for our first night in Bangkok.
I’ll dive straight into our room review and compare prices across different booking sites for you.
The Gravitee @ Khao San Hotel: Price Comparison
I’m pretty meticulous when it comes to travel planning, so before booking, I compared prices across several sites for the same dates.
While Trip.com offered the lowest price for just the room, Agoda came out on top when breakfast was included. The difference between a room-only rate and a room-with-breakfast rate was only ~$3, so I definitely recommend booking through Agoda.

Agoda | MyRealTrip | Trip.com |
~$50 | ~$50 | ~$46 |
Keep in mind that prices can vary between booking sites depending on room conditions or whether breakfast is included. So instead of blindly booking with one, I always recommend checking a few different platforms for your specific dates.

Just a 5-Minute Walk to Khao San Road!

The absolute biggest reason I chose this hotel was its prime location.
Arriving late in Bangkok, it feels like a waste to just head straight to bed, right?

The Gravitee @ Khao San is conveniently located just a block away from Khao San Road.
That means you can drop your bags and be out enjoying dinner, a relaxing massage, or a lively bar within a 5-minute walk. There’s so much to do at night!

It’s also perfectly situated for exploring Rambuttri Road.
But here’s the cool part: once you step inside the hotel, it’s incredibly quiet, almost hard to believe you’re so close to the bustling Khao San Road.
Our Review: The Gravitee @ Khao San Superior King Room

The room we stayed in for our one night was a Superior King Room. I loved that it had hardwood floors instead of carpet, making it feel much cleaner and fresher.

The king-sized bed was spacious and super comfy. After a long flight and a quick shower, sinking into that bed felt like all my travel fatigue just melted away.

I initially thought this would just be a place to crash on our first night in Bangkok, but the room’s condition was actually better than I expected!
Highly Recommended for Your First Night in Bangkok

If you're planning a multi-day 'hotel-cation' in Bangkok, a 5-star hotel is fantastic.
But let's be real, paying top dollar for accommodation on your very first night, especially if you arrive late, can feel a bit wasteful.

That’s why I recommend spending your first night near Khao San Road at a place like this, costing around ~$49, and then kicking off your main adventure the next day.
This place is especially perfect for those who arrive late, want to drop their bags, and then head straight out for a drink or two on Khao San Road.

I used it for my first night in Bangkok, and both the location and room condition were incredibly satisfying for the price.

If you're looking for a great value stay near Khao San Road for your first night in Bangkok, definitely check out and compare The Gravitee @ Khao San Hotel.
