1. Why We Chose Grandvrio for Our Family Trip

✅ The Perfect Middle Ground
Grandvrio Ocean Resort is
perfectly nestled right between bustling Da Nang and historic Hoi An.
Initially, I was worried the location might be a bit too isolated,
but the peace and quiet away from the city noise was exactly what we needed.

The hotel runs a convenient shuttle bus to both Da Nang and Hoi An, so getting around was a breeze.
In fact, coming back to a tranquil resort after a long day of exploring
made our overall experience so much better.

✅ Authentic Japanese Public Bath
Once you experience a proper public bath on vacation, you actively look for it when booking accommodations!
Finding a family resort in Vietnam that offers an authentic Japanese-style bathhouse
was a massive selling point for us.
After walking miles around Da Nang and Hoi An all day,
soaking in the hot water
literally melts all your fatigue away.

✅ Ultimate Family-Friendly Vibe
Grandvrio Resort boasts an excellent kids' program
and features three different swimming pools, including a dedicated kids' pool,
so there is absolutely no room for boredom.

While the kids splash around safely,
adults can relax on the sunbeds or grab a drink at the bar.
It's a win-win for everyone.

✅ High-Quality Breakfast
When traveling with both kids and adults,
the quality of the hotel breakfast is crucial!
Grandvrio offers Japanese, Western, and Vietnamese breakfast options,
which played a huge role in our decision to book here.
2. Deluxe Room (3-Person) Review

We stayed in the Deluxe Room for 3 people.
The resort is divided into a main hotel building and private pool villas.
While the pool villas are fantastic for larger, multi-generational families,
the Deluxe Room was more than enough space for our family of three.

It came with three separate beds,
and there was still plenty of floor space to fully open our suitcases.
The high ceilings made the room feel incredibly airy.

The balcony was wonderfully spacious too.

The toilet is separated from the main bathroom, which is a huge plus for families.
All the basic bath amenities were well-stocked.

Bottled water is complimentary
and replenished daily.
Coming back to the room after a full day of exploring Vietnam,
we never felt cramped. The layout is just so well-designed
for true relaxation.

The morning view of Grandvrio Resort from our balcony.
Seeing the private beach framed by lush palm trees
was an incredible way to start the day!
3. Breakfast Experience
Grandvrio Resort offers three distinct breakfast styles.
✅ Japanese
✅ Asian
✅ Western
The Western breakfast is served at their outdoor restaurant,
but since it wasn't operating during the rainy season,
we chose between the Japanese and Asian options.

“When in Vietnam, you have to eat Pho!”
With that mindset, we happily opted for the Asian breakfast on both mornings.

The variety was phenomenal.
The Pho station changed its broth daily,
and the buffet featured everything from Vietnamese salads and dim sum to congee, fresh fruit, and a dedicated kids' corner.
They even had international and Asian favorites like gimbap and kimchi,
which made it incredibly easy to feed the whole family.

Pairing strong Vietnamese coffee with
a DIY bowl of Chè (traditional Vietnamese sweet soup)
and fresh tropical fruits was heavenly.

Best of all, our little one didn't complain once about the food.
It was a massive success for our family vacation!
4. Pools & Spa Massage

The main pool isn't huge,
but because it connects seamlessly to the private beach,
it feels wonderfully expansive.

The weather was a bit chilly (around 70°F) and the waves were strong,
so we didn't swim much,
but simply lounging on the sunbeds
with a drink from the bar was absolute perfection!
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Da Nang's city center
and just enjoy some quiet downtime, this is the place to be.
The tranquil atmosphere is unmatched.

You can't visit Vietnam without getting at least one massage!
We didn't feel like venturing back into the city,
so we booked the resort's on-site spa.
While it costs a bit more than city massage parlors,
the stress-free experience—no haggling, no awkward tipping—made it completely worth it.
True to its Japanese management, the service was meticulous and spotless.
We opted for the hot stone foot massage,
and it was incredibly rejuvenating.

If you book Grandvrio Resort through a spa-inclusive package,
you can enjoy a 60-minute spa session once a day. Highly recommend checking that out!
5. Complimentary Ao Dai Rental
The resort's landscaping is gorgeous,
making it a great spot for photos,
but you can elevate your vacation shots by taking advantage of their free Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) rental.
The best part is that you aren't restricted to wearing it just inside the hotel.
You can wear it out and about!
We wore ours out to Hoi An Old Town, which made the historical stroll feel even more magical.

You simply return it when you check out.
Since it's completely free,
definitely give it a try!
The Ao Dai is surprisingly comfortable to wear, too.

To sum up our family trip,
Grandvrio Resort delivered on all fronts:
✅ Peaceful, relaxing atmosphere
✅ Excellent kids' programs for family travel
✅ Perfect middle-ground location between Da Nang and Hoi An
✅ Outstanding breakfast quality
We were completely satisfied with our stay.
If you're debating where to stay for your Da Nang family vacation,
I highly recommend checking out packages that include spa access before finalizing your itinerary.
For a quiet, luxurious resort stay with on-site massages,
there really is no better place.
