Honestly, my husband booked it, so I wasn't too familiar with it when we went.

But after returning, I found out it had the most reviews,

which made for an efficient itinerary without unnecessary travel.

In August and September, the days are long and the weather is hot,

so we depart after hotel pickup between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM.

The pickup structure starts near the airport (south side)

and picks up guests as it heads north.

I stayed at the Trump Hotel in the north,

so I couldn't get a very good seat on the tour bus 😂

Oh, it says you'll arrive back in Las Vegas around 6 PM

after the tour ends.

I did the tour on a weekend,

and the traffic was so heavy that I arrived after 7 PM

and just crashed... lol

Even if you book a show or a flight,

it's best to allow plenty of time!

The last show at Sphere is at 8 PM.

August & September Grand Canyon Weather & Packing Essentials

The Grand Canyon is a desert.

So, naturally, when you think of August and September, the weather can seem daunting.

But then again, looking at the annual weather patterns, it actually looks pretty good.

I actually went from September 2nd to 3rd.

The nights were dry and cool like a summer evening,

but the days were dry and very hot.

Felt temperature around 40℃

You know how iPhones tell you to cool them down when they get too hot?

I saw a lot of people with iPhones getting warnings

that the temperature was too high, haha.

It's not humid and hot like in Korea,

but rather hot like a dry sauna, so

☀️ **A hat and a parasol** are incredibly helpful.

☀️ **Light long pants and sunglasses** are recommended.

☀️ **A portable charger** is a must - there's just so much to photograph!

While we had free time to explore each canyon,

it was so hot that sometimes we'd cut our free time short

and head back to the vehicle.

The car always had cool air conditioning running,

so it was great to be able to just see the famous spots

and come right back to rest if it got too hot or tiring.

Did you know that cars in the US don't have window tinting...?

If I had gone on a self-drive trip with a rental car...

it would've taken forever to cool down that boiling car...

My Honest Review: Satisfaction with the LV 'Comfortable' Tour?

I chose the villa accommodation,

and the bedding was fresh and fluffy, and the bed was comfortable.

Plus, the bathroom was attached to the room!

The tour itinerary, accommodation condition, guide,

and even the views were all satisfying, but

the only thing I found a bit disappointing was the **tour vehicle**.

There are two types of LV Grand Canyon 1-night, 2-day tours,

and the difference lies in the vehicle.

• 'Comfortable' Tour: Narrow vehicle

• 'Most Comfortable' Tour: Spacious vehicle

Actually, what I originally booked was the **LV 'Most Comfortable' Tour**, you see?

But because the minimum number of participants (5 people) wasn't met,

they asked if I wanted to switch to the 'Comfortable' Tour for the same date,

so I ended up changing, sigh.

(Of course, I received a refund for the price difference)

Since I don't have a picture of the car, here's one taken from inside the car, haha

But honestly, the car felt a bit cramped.

The ceiling height inside the car was good, so there was plenty of headroom,

but my legs were bent, which wasn't comfortable...

for a Saturday-Sunday 1-night, 2-day trip.

Since the LV Grand Canyon tour prices are the same on weekdays and weekends,

considering Las Vegas accommodation on weekends,

it feels even more budget-friendly!

While the Most Comfortable Tour is over ~$69 more expensive, if you consider travel fatigue and your next schedule after the trip, I'd choose the Most Comfortable Tour. Even for someone in their mid-30s, being cramped for 8 hours round trip was a bit tough.

Although circumstances led me to take the Comfortable Tour, if I were to go again, or go with my parents, I would choose the Most Comfortable Tour.
