We spotted a humpback whale much faster than I ever expected!
The captain kept up a live commentary in English,
but since I couldn't catch every single word,
I just kept my eyes glued to the water.
And then, by sheer luck, I was the very first person to spot one!
The guide had promised a cute souvenir
to the first person who spotted a whale,
so I got to take home this adorable humpback whale plushie as a prize!
Towards the end of the tour, a whale swam incredibly close to our boat.
It was on a completely different scale from the little dolphins I'd seen before—
its massive, majestic presence was absolutely breathtaking.
Getting to see it breach with my own eyes
had me constantly saying, "Wow, this is unreal!"
I literally couldn't look away from the ocean.
They also played actual whale songs through the speakers,
and listening to those sounds while watching them made the whole experience feel so magical.
