📍 GoGo Curry is nestled near Oura Bay, roughly 2.8 miles from Hitakatsu Port, and conveniently located right next to Value Mart Oura – your essential shopping destination. The restaurant really stands out with its unique gorilla mascot, which was quite memorable!

We stumbled upon this place after biking to Value Mart, and our curiosity about authentic Japanese curry led us inside. What a delightful find!

Outside the restaurant, you'll find a clear menu board displaying various dishes and their tempting photos. Sizes range from small, medium, to large, with prices varying from around ~$4 to ~$19. The cost largely depends on the dish size and the toppings you choose. One fun detail is how some curry toppings are arranged to look like a face – it really adds a playful touch!

Now, let's take a peek at the inside of the restaurant.

The restaurant features a warm, yellow-toned ambiance with bright lighting. It's a cozy spot, with about six two-person tables and six counter seats. We visited around 2 PM, a bit past the usual lunch rush, so we had the place to ourselves.

Once you've got your ticket from the machine, simply hand it to a staff member. Food service and water are all self-service. We ordered two small-sized dishes to try a couple of options.

We ordered the Rosu Curry (Small) and the Otona no Goriemon (Medium Spice). The Goriemon, with its truly unique appearance, was definitely something we couldn't resist trying!

The Goriemon Curry is a playful dish featuring egg, shrimp tempura, sausage, and cabbage, all cleverly arranged to resemble a face. It's almost too cute to eat!

The sausage tasted like a standard frankfurter, and the shrimp tempura was decent. I wished there was a little more tartar sauce to complement the fried shrimp, though! The egg was hard-boiled, which made it a bit dry for my personal preference. The curry itself had a good consistency and a pleasant, mild flavor. It wasn't overly spicy at all, perfect for those who prefer a gentler kick.

Next up was the curry topped with a Rosu Katsu (pork loin cutlet).

This dish features rice covered in curry, topped with a crispy pork cutlet and cabbage, arranged almost like a carrot. It's visually appealing and hearty!

The pork cutlet was crispy, though it felt more like a thin, Western-style schnitzel than a thick Japanese tonkatsu. Still, it was freshly fried and tasted perfectly fine. Compared to the medium-spicy Goriemon curry, this one seemed to have a slightly sweeter flavor. However, for most palates, the difference in sweetness or spice level between the two wouldn't be drastically noticeable.

We unexpectedly discovered GoGo Curry Tsushima Park during our visit to Value Mart Oura, and it turned out to be the only dedicated curry restaurant in the Hitakatsu area. The prices are quite reasonable, and the curry itself is sweet rather than spicy, making it a crowd-pleaser for almost everyone. The fun plating, especially with the diverse fried toppings, makes it particularly appealing for kids and families.
