Tokyo Ginza Restaurant: My Review of All-You-Can-Eat Japanese Wagyu!

When you're traveling in Tokyo, you surely want to indulge in some authentic Japanese Wagyu for at least one meal, right?
But when you actually start looking for famous restaurants in Ginza,
the prices can be quite steep. And especially on weekends, from Friday to Sunday,
I worried about waiting in long lines if I went to a popular spot without a reservation.
So this time,
I made my reservation all the way from Korea before heading out.
The place I visited was
Ginza no Steak Ginza Chuo Branch!

The chef cooks the A5 Black Wagyu
right in front of you on the griddle, but the biggest reason I chose this place was that ordering extra steak is absolutely free!
Plus, it was even more intriguing because there wasn't a single Korean person in sight, haha!

1. Booking a Table at This Tokyo Ginza Gem

Ginza no Steak Chuo Branch is
super close to Ginza Station.
📍 Ginza Steak
B1F Ginza Kōh Building, 5-chōme−9−1 Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo 〒104-0061, Japan
It’s about a 2-minute walk from Ginza Station Exit A5,
and you can also walk from Higashi-Ginza Station.
This makes it perfect for combining with a shopping trip to Ginza Mitsukoshi or other plans!

You head down to the B1 floor of the building,
and as soon as you step inside, the atmosphere completely transforms.
It’s set up with a large griddle where several people sit around,
and the chef cooks the meat right in the center.

While it’s great for couples, the setup with everyone seated around the griddle meant that even going alone for Wagyu felt
completely natural and not awkward at all, haha!
And guess what? There wasn't a single Korean person there –
it was all foreigners and Japanese locals!
They also have private rooms that can accommodate 4 or 6 people,
so if you're traveling with your family or loved ones,
booking a private room is a fantastic option! (*additional ~$35)

And when it comes to visiting popular restaurants in Tokyo,
what I dislike most is
having to queue up for a meal while traveling, ugh!
Japanese reservation sites like Tabelog can be
surprisingly complicated and tricky for me, so this time,
I pre-booked through KKday again.

By setting a specific time to fit my travel itinerary,
it was much more convenient because I didn't have to worry about searching for a restaurant on the spot or wondering if there would be any available seats.
Especially if your Ginza plans fall on a weekend,
I highly recommend securing your preferred time slot in advance rather than relying on a walk-in visit.

2. Ginza no Steak: All-You-Can-Eat A5 Wagyu!

What I enjoyed was the Dinner
A5 Kuroge Wagyu Marbled Beef and Steak Course
The price was 12,980 yen per person.

At first, since it was well over 10,000 yen,
I thought it might be expensive, but once I actually tried it,
it wasn't just like eating a single plate of steak.
It was a full course starting from appetizers, soup, intermezzo dishes,
Wagyu steak, garlic rice, and miso soup,
leading all the way to dessert.

Instead of all the dishes arriving at once,
like an Omakase experience, each dish was served one by one in sequence,
giving a truly pampered feeling..☆

Plus, drinks and alcoholic beverages were unlimited,
so I made sure to indulge heartily in beer, cola, and even coffee!

And then, finally, the star of the show arrived!
Just looking at the marbling, I knew this had to taste
absolutely amazing, there was no way it wouldn't! Haha!

Right before my eyes, the chef placed thick A5 Wagyu onto the teppan griddle,
and as it sizzled and cooked, that was truly the best moment.
I didn't specify the doneness,
and it was typically cooked to a perfect medium.
The outside was beautifully seared to a golden brown,
while the inside remained wonderfully pink,
and it was just perfect for me.

It literally melts in your mouth..
With a variety of sauces and seasonings available,
it was fun to enjoy the same delicious meat
in slightly different ways each time.

The ultimate highlight? Additional steak orders are absolutely free!
With this course, you can order more A5 Wagyu steak
without any extra charge!

I certainly planned to make the most of those free refills, but...
with the continuous flow of courses from appetizers onwards,
and after finishing the initial steak,
I was already incredibly full ㅠㅠㅠ
Oh, the plight of a small eater who gets full just from the initial serving at an all-you-can-eat place!
Every time this happens,
I can't help but envy people like Tzyuyang (a famous mukbang YouTuber) so much (ᵕ̩̩ㅅᵕ̩̩ )

Still, if you're someone with a hearty appetite,
the fact that you can enjoy more A5 Wagyu
without any extra cost
is a massive perk!
3. Lunch Offers Even Better Value

And guess what? Lunch is even more budget-friendly
and comes with an all-you-can-eat option!
Course | Price |
A5 Kuroge Wagyu Lunch | 7,480엔 |
Marbling + Lean Meat Lunch | 9,680엔 |
Marbling + Lean Meat Dinner Course | 12,980엔 |
Abalone + A5 Fillet Dinner Course | 16,280엔 |
Kobe Beef + A5 Fillet Dinner Course | 18,480엔 |

And here's a fantastic perk: even the lunch-exclusive 7,480 yen course
comes with free additional A5 Kuroge Wagyu steak!
Heads up: for both lunch and dinner, there's a separate 300 yen seat charge
and a 10% service fee added.
But here's a clever hack: if you book in advance through KKday,
you'll prepay that seat charge!

This spot is absolutely perfect if you're looking to:
Truly savor authentic A5 Wagyu during your Tokyo trip,
Plan a special meal with your parents,
Or are searching for an incredible date spot in Ginza.
And for those with a hearty appetite, you'll absolutely love
taking full advantage of the free additional steak offer! 😉
Next time I visit, I'm definitely going to make sure
I save even more room in my stomach! I regretted not eating more, haha!

Don't waste precious time wandering around Ginza trying to find a spot on the fly.
Plan your meals and book in advance for a super smooth and enjoyable trip! 😊
