✔︎ An authentic local favorite, recommended by Gimpo residents themselves.

Ggoggoduck has graced my blog many times, and honestly, it feels like I own a stake in the place, that's how often I've been! It's my go-to when I'm not sure what to eat but want a great meal out, or when I have guests visiting.

It's been a little while since my last dedicated post, so I wanted to bring you an updated review for 2026.

This place is consistently packed, rain or shine, snow or sleet – it's always buzzing with people.

While I frequent it because it's genuinely delicious, it's still amazing how popular it is!

Finding an empty table can sometimes be a mission, but if you're lucky, you might snag a coveted window seat!

Honestly, once you're eating, it's all the same, but I still prefer the window spots.

The Self-Service Bar

At Ggoggoduck, you'll find a convenient self-service bar for water and side dishes. They don't bring these to your table initially, so feel free to grab exactly what you want and as much as you need from the delicious array of banchan. You can also fill up your water pitchers at the purified water station.

Ggoggoduck Menu Highlights

While the duck salt grill is also delicious, my family always gravitates towards the duck bulgogi – it's just that good!

Pro tip: adding shiitake mushrooms to your duck bulgogi is absolutely divine. To save yourself multiple trips, I recommend grabbing a generous two to three servings from the start.

You'll also need to purchase fresh lettuce and chili peppers separately for wraps. If you love ssam (lettuce wraps), I'd suggest buying at least two bags for a party of four.

While the shiitake mushrooms alone are fantastic,

adding fresh chili and garlic truly elevates both the flavor and presentation.

(You'll find garlic readily available at the self-service bar!)

After savoring every bite of the duck, don't forget to finish your meal with some delicious fried rice – though I realized I forgot to snap a picture this time!
