1. Gapyong Bakery Cafe Recommendation!
A Healing Drive Course Near Seorak IC
The Gapyong Sheep Farm I visited this time
is a place with excellent accessibility, not only from the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas
but also from the Chungcheong region.
I departed from Chungju,
and this Gapyong cafe is located right at the entrance as soon as you exit Seorak IC. It took exactly about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car to Gapyong Sheep Farm! It was much closer than I expected, and the drive wasn't difficult at all, so I really enjoyed the scenic route.

The roads aren't challenging and are wide open,
making it comfortable even for beginner drivers to reach.
There's also a spacious private parking lot right at the entrance of the cafe,
so you don't need to worry about parking.

After purchasing your admission ticket, which includes a drink voucher, using the kiosk at the ticket office,

you can head up into the farm.
It was so beautiful with hydrangeas blooming everywhere in summer..🤍
2. Gapyong Bakery Cafe with Powerful Air Conditioning
I headed straight inside the cafe to escape the heat.
They had the air conditioning blasting,
so it felt incredibly cool as soon as I stepped in!

The savory aroma of freshly baked goods filled the entire cafe,
making my mouth water.
They also had bingsu and ice cream on the menu, which made me super excited!
There were so many delicious-looking breads.
It took me a while to choose! 🤤

The Gapyeong Sheep Farm Bakery Cafe's entire building is equipped with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, meaning you don't have to step out into the blazing sun to enjoy the panoramic, unobstructed green scenery of the sheep farm. This was the decisive reason I chose this place!

Sitting comfortably inside,
chatting happily with my friend, I happened to glance out the window,
and guess what? With just a pane of glass between us,
an alpaca casually strolled right past!

For a moment, our eyes met so closely,
I was completely surprised, and then a moment of realization hit me hard,
and I burst into laughter for ages 🤣
It's truly a Gapyeong cafe where you can get up close
and interact with alpacas in so many ways.

Not just alpacas, but sheep and peacocks too,
are leisurely roaming around everywhere (hehe).
3. Gapyeong Seorak-myeon's Best Bingsu Spot!
Mango Bingsu of a Lifetime vs. Classic Patbingsu
On sweltering summer days like these,
I don't think there's any dessert more delicious than bingsu.
The Gapyeong Sheep Farm Bakery Cafe
has a wide selection of delicious breads and is also a renowned bingsu hotspot.

They have mango bingsu and patbingsu,
and since they also had ice cream, we ordered that too!

The ice cream, which is super popular with kids,
had a deliciously smooth, melting milky flavor.
If you love sweet desserts, you absolutely have to try it.

My absolute favorite summer dessert is undoubtedly bingsu!
We ordered both mango bingsu and patbingsu,

The Patbingsu, which makes you exclaim, 'Classic is forever!', was topped generously with perfectly sweet and nutty red beans, making it enjoyable for everyone. Best of all, chewy rice cakes were added as a topping, and the combination of the soft snowflake ice and the rice cakes' texture was simply incredible.

While the Patbingsu was great, the Mango Bingsu was definitely my favorite. The mango was served generously and bountifully, so it was easy to share among several people. Take a spoonful loaded with mango and ice, and with one bite, the sweet and tangy fruit juice fills your mouth, instantly cooling you down and melting away the heat.

If you're looking for a cafe with delicious bingsu in Gapyeong, this is the place to go!
4. Recommended Healing Experience Course at Gapyeong Sheep Farm
After lowering our body temperature
with delicious bingsu and bread in the cool cafe interior,
we gently ventured out to the outdoor farm.

I really wanted to try one of the unique experiences
available at Gapyeong Sheep Farm.
The one I absolutely recommend to you all is
<Walking with Alpacas>.

This can be called one of Gapyeong Alpaca Farm's signature experiences, and I can't express enough how gentle the alpacas are, how well they listen to people, and how great they are at walking! They even share tips for a successful walk, so it's an experience anyone, from kids to adults, can enjoy!

Gently holding the leash of the alpaca that became my buddy,
walking around the farm, taking photos,
and even having a little chat—it was such a delightful time.
I'm sure it will become a truly special memory!
You can also easily enjoy a feeding experience.

With a feeding basket available for ~$2,
you can feed them carrots, hay, or even milk powder,
spending time connecting with various animals,
so make sure to visit and give it a try!

Don't be afraid, confidently give them carrots!
Alpacas don't bite!🦙🥕
5. Hydrangea Garden
There was also a hydrangea garden on one side of the farm.
When I visited, the pure and elegant summer hydrangeas
were truly serving as a perfect photo zone for 'life-shot' photos,

I heard that soon, beautiful blue hydrangeas
will be in full bloom, lasting until late autumn!

I absolutely adore colorful hydrangeas,
so, I decided I'd revisit to see the flowers
when the blue hydrangeas fill the garden.
