📍 Edelweiss Swiss Village
Edelweiss Swiss Village, 226-42 Daraljae-ro, Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do
Edelweiss Swiss Village is a famous spot to visit in Gapyeong,
and while there's an admission fee!
it's paid back to you as **Edel Cash (currency usable within the Swiss Village)**!
I absolutely loved this cashback system.
You can use your Edel Cash to grab snacks and shop for Swiss-themed souvenirs.
It's a fantastic value for money, making the admission fee totally worth it!

🚗For parking, you can use the dedicated parking lot along the road leading up to the entrance,
or park along the roadside.
However, **the parking area right by the entrance is for residents only**,
so after parking, you'll need to walk up for about 2 minutes.
Experience Swiss Travel Vibes in Korea🇨🇭

At Gapyeong Edelweiss Swiss Village,
after purchasing your admission ticket and hearing the staff's explanation,
you'll be taken **all the way to the top in a dedicated cart**.
Then, you can slowly make your way **down while exploring Edelweiss**
and enjoying the sights.

With so many vibrant, colorful buildings,
every corner offered a picturesque scene perfect for photos.
It truly felt like being in Switzerland, enveloped in a peaceful atmosphere.
As I took pictures and explored,
I completely lost track of time!

July and August are hydrangea season,
so the paths were filled with them everywhere.
Since it's an outdoor theme park, I worried a lot,
but even visiting in the hot summer, there was so much to see,
and it was perfectly fine walking around with a parasol.
Various Fun Play Facilities for Kids (and Adults!) 🎡

At the top of Edelweiss Swiss Village,
there were play facilities, including a huge trampoline
that adults could also use, so we had a blast jumping around!

Next up at the Swiss Village's play area was the slide!
It's a tube slide, and it was so much fun
because it's steep and wide!
Animal Feeding Experience 🐑🦢

While the play facilities were great, what I loved most was
being able to meet the animals up close!
If you choose the animal feeding experience when you buy your admission ticket,
you get free feed.
The animal friends came right out to greet us,
so it was a lot of fun feeding them and watching them.
Spending Edelwha on Snacks 💰

When you buy your admission ticket, it's exchanged for Edelwha,
which you can use like cash
throughout Edelweiss Swiss Village.
I even bought drinks at the cafe!

With the remaining Edelwha, I bought Swiss beer, a patch (wappen),
and other souvenirs at the Swiss Village's gift shop.

I debated whether to go or not, but I'm so glad I visited
Edelweiss, a unique travel destination in Gapyeong!
Even though I visited in the hot summer, my satisfaction was high,
so I'm planning to revisit in the cool autumn.
