Considering a central Bangkok stay? I tried The Fusion Suites Bangkok Asok, exploring both Premier and Deluxe rooms. Find out if this hotel near Health Land suits your next Thai adventure.
I usually prefer staying a bit outside the main bustling areas, but this time, I decided to check out a popular hotel near Bangkok's Asok Station. It was perfectly located right in front of Health Land, which was ideal for some much-needed massage therapy!
📍 The Fusion Suites フュージョン スイーツ 143, 61-62 Soi Sukhumvit 21, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110 Thailand
This is the spot. Interestingly, the hotel name even appears in Japanese on Google Maps, perhaps hinting at a Japanese influence.
Check-in time is 02:00 PM, and check-out is 12:00 PM. I stayed for two nights, experiencing a different room type each night.
Premier Room
First up, the Premier Room. The bathroom here is quite spacious and includes a bathtub.
The room itself is quite generous in size, featuring a sofa and a table. My initial thought was, “I could get some work done here.”
However,
Turns out, I'm just not the type to get work done in my room...
Enjoying a beer with it..... haha
So, I headed down to the lobby instead. It was quiet and surprisingly conducive to concentration, which I appreciated.
The room also came with standard amenities and a selection of beverages available for purchase. The spaciousness of this Bangkok accommodation was a definite plus.
There's definitely something to be said for spacious accommodations – even if they come with a slightly higher price tag. When you're not the one responsible for cleaning, having ample space just feels like a luxury!
Deluxe Chill Room
Next, let's look at the Deluxe Chill Room, which is a more budget-friendly option.
The bathroom here is designed like this. It features a shower facility but no bathtub. This room was also perfectly comfortable. Full disclosure, I actually stayed in this room first, followed by the Premier Room.
This room isn't as large as the previous one, offering just enough space for essentials. Still, it manages to maintain a pleasant ambiance!
The Bangkok hotel also features a cafe and bar on the first floor. You can order drinks while working in the lobby.
My overall impression of staying right in the heart of Bangkok's bustling district had its pros and cons. Ultimately, I still lean towards my usual preference for slightly more peripheral locations.
Unless your entire itinerary revolves around the Asok area and you plan on walking everywhere, getting around can be a real challenge due to notorious Bangkok traffic. If you're traveling solo, a Grab Bike can help you navigate through it quicker, but with companions and a Grab car, you'll find yourself spending a significant amount of time stuck in traffic. (Of course, if your activities are concentrated strictly within this vicinity, then this hotel's location is highly recommendable!)
While the BTS Skytrain and MRT subway are options, if you're frequently traveling to different parts of the city, staying a bit further out might actually be more convenient overall.
That said, the room condition and the hotel itself were quite good, especially the Premier Room.
I really appreciated the spaciousness and comfortable layout.
So, that was my experience at The Fusion Suites Bangkok Asok, a hotel many travelers choose. A smart strategy for your Thailand trip might be to consolidate all your central Bangkok activities – like currency exchange or specific attractions – during your stay here, and then move to a slightly more outer district for the remainder of your trip.
