Highly Recommended Canmore Lodging with Stunning Mountain Views
Hello from Hyery, your joyful global explorer! Today, I'm sharing another chapter of my travel diary 🌏
Banff was definitely one of the most anticipated stops on our honeymoon!
Since accommodation prices in Banff were a bit higher than expected,
we chose Canmore as a wonderful alternative.
While searching for places to stay in Canmore,
I fell in love with the stunning views and booked this place instantly:
“Falcon Crest Lodge by CLIQUE”
📌Why I Chose This Lodge 📌
• Gorgeous mountain views right from the terrace
• Much more reasonable prices than Banff
(and only a 20-minute drive to Banff!)
• Super close to downtown Canmore

3. Hotel Exterior & Interior

The overall exterior of the hotel had a cozy mountain cabin feel!
Most accommodations in the Banff area share this rustic vibe, so it felt very familiar.
Since we really wanted a mountain view,
we sent an email to the hotel in advance requesting one.
Because mountain view rooms are limited and in high demand,
they told us that if we wanted a 📌 guaranteed mountain view,
we would need to pay an upgrade fee at the front desk.
(CAD 49.95 per night)
Since it was our honeymoon, we decided to go for it
and pay the extra charge for that perfect mountain view!
The total amount we paid at the property was
💸 117.38 CAD for 2 nights

We were assigned to
Room 321.
4. Room Condition

I had seen pictures beforehand,
but the room itself was incredibly spacious!
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a beautiful view right through the living room window 🗻
There was a large living area with a comfortable sofa and a big dining table.
It would easily be spacious enough for a family to stay comfortably.

On top of that, the bedroom was completely separate!
Having a separate living area meant we could sleep peacefully in a clutter-free room.
The bedroom also had its own window, making it so easy to enjoy the scenic view 💚

The fridge was huge, leaving plenty of space even after a big grocery run
The kitchen was absolutely huge,
so instead of always eating out,
we saved so much money by cooking our own groceries!
It comes fully equipped with kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, and tableware,
and the fridge is absolutely massive!

The spacious bathroom featured a separate shower booth and a bathtub

There is also a washing machine in the bathroom, making it perfect for long-term travelers
or family trips with lots of luggage
to easily get some laundry done.

And now, the highly anticipated balcony view 🌳
You can easily soak in the views of the distant mountains and lush trees
just by sitting out on the balcony!

On our very first evening, we got a sudden, heavy snowfall,
and it was absolutely magical 🥹🥹

The next day, after the snow stopped,
the mountains were beautifully blanketed in fresh, soft snow.
So gorgeous! 🏔️
If it feels a little too chilly to eat out on the balcony,
you can still see the stunning view right from the living room,
which made dining while enjoying the scenery absolutely wonderful!

In the morning, the rising sun painted the peaks in shades of glowing pink and orange.
With the snow blanket, the scenery was just breathtakingly beautiful 💓💚

The views from this place were endlessly beautiful right up to the very last moment 🏔️
If spectacular views are a must-have for you,
you don't necessarily have to stay in expensive Banff.
you get to enjoy a spacious, budget-friendly stay with stunning views,
which is why I highly, highly recommend it!

5. On-site Japanese Restaurant

Since there was a Japanese restaurant right in the lodge,
we decided to eat dinner there because we were too lazy to head out.
The interior was so cozy and cute, and the staff were incredibly friendly!

Savoring Japanese food in Canada 🥹
When you're craving some hot, comforting soup,
it's hard to find in local Canadian cuisine.
At times like this, you realize you just can't live without Korean or Japanese food!
Sipping warm tokkuri (sake) paired with a hot soup dish,
all our fatigue from the day just melted away 😇
6. Nearby Shops

Located less than a 10-minute drive from our place,

When you're staying in a place with a kitchen, having a grocery store nearby is an absolute game-changer!

An absolutely wonderful stay in Canmore,
“Falcon Crest Lodge by CLIQUE”
