How is this a lizard and not a dinosaur?
Featuring 257 rooms, all boasting stunning Lumpini Park views,
the premium hotel, Dusit Thani Bangkok.
I visited around November 2024, almost right after its grand opening,
and I was absolutely thrilled with my stay. It must be running even more smoothly by now!
With those fond memories and high expectations,
here is my Dusit Thani Bangkok review, fueled by my longing to go back!✨

Exterior & Lobby

Located just across the street from Lumpini Park, Dusit Thani Bangkok
is much less crowded and touristy than Siam, Asoke, or Nana,
offering a wonderfully serene atmosphere.

Back then, there wasn't really a proper pedestrian path
leading into the lobby—I wonder if they've put one in by now?
Also, the shopping mall that will connect to the hotel was still under construction.

Porsches and Lamborghinis lined up for VIP transport...
The staff were so incredibly attentive, opening doors and greeting us every single time.
Check-in
Check-in: From 3:00 PM
Check-out: By 11:00 AM

During my visit,
they were still using the first floor as a temporary check-in lobby.
But now, the 39th-floor Sky Lobby is fully complete,
and check-in takes place up there!
The staff will take care of your luggage on the 1st floor
and deliver it straight to your room!

While waiting to check in,
we were served sweet fresh coconut water and chilled towels—
such a refreshing start to the experience.

They preserved the columns from the original heritage hotel on this site.
The lobby instantly makes you feel as if you've stepped into a Thai royal palace.

On the 1st floor, there is an Executive Lounge
where you can enjoy cocktails and light refreshments,
along with plenty of spacious seating.

Every single detail and sculpture is so luxurious
that you feel like you've entered a whole new world the moment you walk in!

Scored a room on the 23rd floor!

Hope this floor guide comes in handy!~~
Even though it hadn't been open for very long at the time,
they were already hosting weddings in the Grand Ballroom.
Deluxe Park View Room
Room 2302

This is the view the second you step into the room.
Right at the entrance, to make it easy for two people sharing,
the luggage storage, closet, and drawers
are divided up—perfect for couples!
The lush green accents
and the gorgeous blend of modern style with luxurious Thai tradition
create a breathtaking interior
that you really have to see in person to fully appreciate.

True to its promise of having park views from every single room,
you can enjoy this stunning vista no matter which room you get...

The quality of the bed and pillows
was absolutely top-tier—maybe because everything is brand new, but it guaranteed a perfect night's sleep.
Honestly, at the time, I was completely drained
from a hectic company workshop in Thailand,
and I was desperately craving some quiet, peaceful healing.
두짓타니 방콕은 the absolute perfect choice for relaxation.

You've got to love the instant mood boost of a welcome fruit platter!
And they restock whatever you eat.

Both the seating area facing Lumphini Park and the daybed next to the bed
were incredibly useful throughout the stay,
whether for lounging or grabbing a quick snack.
I really felt that the design wasn't just beautiful,
but incredibly efficient as well.
It's the perfect blend of form and function.

Finding this kind of peace and quiet in bustling Bangkok is a dream.
From now on, whenever I visit Bangkok, I'm definitely staying near Lumphini Park.
(Spoken like someone who is completely over the chaotic nightlife vibes of Asoke and Nana 😅)
Honestly, I'd be perfectly happy sleeping right on this sofa...

And yes, you get those immaculate cozy views in the evening too!
Minibar

The minibar comes with complimentary water, coffee capsules, and tea bags.
Everything else is extra.
The water is served in glass bottles wrapped in stylish leather sleeves!

With a variety of wine glasses,
different liquor glasses,
and multiple tea and coffee cups,
anyone who appreciates the details will absolutely love this setup.

Here is the paid minibar lineup.
Bathroom

The bathroom connects directly from the bedroom through green double doors.
The open layout makes it feel incredibly spacious, while...
The sliding door allows you to separate the spaces, which is super hygienic.

Since we both love keeping things neat and tidy, the
double vanity was absolutely perfect and so convenient.
Plus, the detail on the mirror shapes literally made us feel like
we were staying in a Thai royal palace lol.
Even the trash can is leather... the detail!

The lineup of complimentary disposable amenities.
The toothbrushes were actually surprisingly good quality.

There's a magnifying mirror that's super handy for doing makeup,
and yes, the hairdryer is a Dyson.

The bathtub is spacious enough for two with room to spare,
and they even provide bath salts.
You can enjoy a relaxing soak while looking out at the gorgeous Lumphini Park view~~!

The shower, toilet, vanity, and bathtub are all nicely separated,
and there's plenty of space.
The shower stall is great because it has a little bench/seating area (?)
and two different types of showerheads.

For amenities, they use their own brand called DEVARANA.
The products felt so premium and smelled amazing, so we didn't use any of our own stuff and just stuck to these for both days.

Even the lighting has this gorgeous,
eco-friendly vibe...

It actually happened to be our anniversary around this time, haha.
They surprised us with a delicious celebratory cake
along with an incredibly touching handwritten letter.
Such thoughtful service~!
Pool & Gym
Pool Hours: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Both the pool and the gym are located on the 5th floor.

The pool boasts wide-open views, beautifully framed by lower-rise structures amid the surrounding skyscrapers.

The pool bar is so pretty it instantly makes you want to order a drink.

An outdoor shower area.

Such a bright and refreshing vibe!
It gets plenty of sunlight, but is also nicely shaded by the surrounding buildings.
Honestly, in the intense Thai heat, that partial shade is a lifesaver.

There's also plenty of seating next to the pool,
so even if you don't feel like swimming,
you can just sit back and soak in the Lumphini views.
Though the heat might make it a challenge...

A unique and interesting space on the left, too.

At night, the city views bring a whole different kind of magic.
Since it's open until 9:00 PM, it's definitely worth visiting both day and night.

The bottom of the pool lights up beautifully, so make sure you don't miss out on a night swim!

The gym is located right next to the pool area.
It's open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
I'm always the type of person who promises myself I'll work out but never actually does...
But I still had to go check it out with high hopes!

They have fresh towels, lemon-infused water, and even whole apples ready for you.
Fresh apples...! What a thoughtful touch.

Just like the pool,
you can sweat it out while gazing at the beautiful Lumpini Park view.

Even though I didn't end up working out in the end,
the gym is packed with top-of-the-line, brand-new Technogym equipment,
so I highly recommend it for fitness lovers!
Breakfast
Breakfast Hours: 06:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Breakfast is served at 'Pavilion' on the B1 floor.
To head down to B1, just take the escalator down from the lobby.

The buffet area isn't massive,
but that makes sense since this hotel focuses on quality
rather than an overwhelmingly large number of rooms.

Apologies for the blurry photos... I was just way too hungry! 🫣
The variety of food might seem a bit smaller
compared to other massive hotel buffets in Thailand,
but instead, the quality of each and every dish is absolutely top-tier.

A spread I simply couldn't resist! 😊
I recall the menu leaning more toward modern, Japanese, and Western dishes
rather than traditional Thai, and
the pastries and bread selection were incredibly delicious.

You can also order custom coffees and specialty drinks.
And if you order the fresh coconut water,
they'll bring you a whole fresh coconut branded with the Dusit Thani logo!
So fresh, sweet, and absolutely delicious...!
(Heads up: this is so popular that they might run out if you go too late!)

There's also an outdoor seating area for breakfast.
Even though it gets a bit warm, the gorgeous aesthetic makes it super popular.
By the way, the Pavilion also operates as a regular restaurant outside of breakfast hours.

And this is the restroom on the B1 floor...
Had to snap a pic because the bathroom is literally nicer than my own home...
The Surrounding Area

Just cross the street and you'll find Lumpini Park,
and if you walk just a bit further, there's
One Bangkok, a massive shopping mall where you could spend all day.

Behind the hotel, there's a fantastic local scene loved by residents—
lined with street food stalls, local restaurants, supermarkets, and foot massage shops.
Plus, the price isn't even that crazy compared to other luxury hotels,
so it really checked all the boxes for me!
If you want to step away from the chaotic Bangkok hustle
and soak in some peaceful, aesthetic vibes,
I highly recommend the Lumpini area—especially Dusit Thani Bangkok.
Looking back at all the pros and cons,
I hope you get to experience the same amazing stay I had.
Now it's your turn to experience the newly upgraded Dusit Thani Bangkok!
