Today, I'm reviewing a value-for-money hotel in Takamatsu City!

I'll be sharing an honest review of my stay at Dormy Inn Takamatsu.

As it's a Dormy Inn chain hotel with a grand public bath,

if you want to enjoy both hot springs and city sightseeing,

this is definitely the place to stay!!!!

1. Hotel Basic Information

TMI: You might confuse it with Dormy Inn Takamatsu Chuo Koen, but this one is right in the heart of the city! It's right next to the shopping street, not in front of Chuo Park. X

Dormy Inn is a leading business hotel chain in Japan,

characterized by its reasonable prices, grand public bath facilities, and various complimentary services.

I hear that those who love Japan's unique public bath hotels often specifically choose to stay at Dormy Inn properties.

Dormy Inn Takamatsu hotel met all three conditions I was looking for.

Self Check-in System

Check-in is via a self-service kiosk system where you enter your passport details and reservation number.

Although it's self check-in, there's staff at the counter who will immediately assist if any issues arise.

The information booklet you receive after check-in contains Wi-Fi details, breakfast and late-night snack times,

and even the grand public bath's operating hours and password, so definitely don't throw it away!

Basic amenities such as combs, razors, toothbrushes, and cotton swabs can be taken freely from the lobby, and cotton pads, shower caps, and shower towels are provided inside the grand public bath.

In the lobby, there's a free coffee machine, so

after checking in, I poured myself a cup of americano.

The coffee aroma was quite rich but without any burnt taste,

a smooth style that was just perfect.

2. Inside the Double Room

I booked a Double Room with a double bed

and was assigned a room on the 9th floor of the 11-story building.

Right in front of the door is the sink, with the toilet opposite it,

and a compact layout featuring a double bed and a long table!

Although it was small, having a table was incredibly useful

for late-night snacks or working on my laptop, haha!

The window view was of the neighboring building, so no grand scenery here!

Since I planned to be out all day exploring the city and returning late,

I'd given up on a view, and honestly, I didn't miss it at all 😂

The bedding exceeded my expectations – the pillow height was just right,

and the duvet was so fluffy that I fell into a deep sleep the moment I lay down...

I was even more pleased that both the bedding and towels were spotlessly clean!

Two bottles of mineral water and welcome cookies are complimentary ~~

The sink, toilet, and shower booth might be compact,

but they were well-stocked with amenities,

so I had no discomfort using them at all.

It's the perfect size for two people.
