Dongdaegu Station Luggage Storage Guide

On our recent trip to Daegu, we booked accommodations in the Suseong-gu area. Arriving at Dongdaegu Station in the morning, we wanted to dive straight into exploring the Modern Alley and Kim Gwang-seok Street before checking into our hotel.
So, we dropped off our luggage right at Dongdaegu Station and set off light and free!
There are several convenient luggage storage options at Dongdaegu Station. Let's break down their locations, prices, and operating hours for your 2026 visit.

Shinsegae Department Store Complex Transfer Center (4th-5th Floors) - FREE for the First 4 Hours |
If you're looking to store your bags for free, the Famille Town luggage lockers, connected to the Complex Transfer Center, are your best bet.
There are two easy ways to get there:
The first method is to exit Dongdaegu Station via Exit 2 and head towards the Complex Transfer Center.
Once you're out of KTX Station Exit 2, follow the covered walkway in the direction of the red signs. Keep going straight!
Once you enter the building, look for the escalator going up to Shinsegae Department Store in the direction of the blue arrow. Take it up to the 4th or 5th floor.
The second way is to navigate directly from within Daegu Shinsegae Department Store. Head towards Famille Town on the 5th floor.
We actually used this option on the day we departed for Seoul.
On the 5th floor, locate the Hermes store.
The passageway leading to Famille Town is right next to Hermes.
Follow the blue arrow, and you'll find the luggage lockers.

Note: While there used to be a free luggage storage area on the basement 1st floor of Shinsegae Department Store, staff confirmed it's no longer available.
Paid Coin Lockers Next to Daiso (Dongdaegu Subway Station B1F) |
On the day we arrived at Dongdaegu Station, we opted for the luggage lockers on the B1F of Dongdaegu Subway Station.

Dongdaegu Station Line 1 Underground Shopping Center 1, 530 Dongdaegu-ro, Dong-gu, Daegu
Since we were planning to head towards Jung-gu and take the subway, it made more sense to store our bags here rather than going all the way up to the Complex Transfer Center.
You'll find these lockers on the B1F of Shinsegae Daegu, in the direction of the subway entrance, right next to Daiso. They're super easy to spot!

Luggage Lockers Inside Dongdaegu KTX Station |
If your travel plans mean you'll be returning to Dongdaegu KTX Station, you might prefer using the lockers located right inside the station building, saving you a trip to another complex.
The easiest to find is Locker Area B, situated across from Lotteria, near Exit 1.
If Locker Area B is full, don't worry! Head into the corridor immediately to your left, and you'll find additional lockers in areas A, C, and D.
These lockers aren't just in one spot; they extend further inside. So, if the front lockers are occupied, make sure to check the ones further back before giving up!

Ultimately, the best place to store your luggage depends on your onward travel plans and itinerary.
✔️ Choose Option 1 (Shinsegae Complex Transfer Center) if free storage is a priority, or if you plan to utilize the Complex Transfer Center or Shinsegae Department Store.
✔️ Go for Option 2 (Daiso next to the Subway Station) if you're heading straight to the subway and prefer not to venture into an adjacent building.
✔️ Option 3 (Lockers inside Dongdaegu KTX Station) is the most convenient if you're planning to return to Dongdaegu Station for your departure.😊
You can use the luggage storage lockers at Famille Town on the 4th-5th floors of the Dongdaegu Complex Transit Center for the first 4 hours free of charge. You can find it by exiting KTX Station Exit 2 and heading towards the Complex Transit Center, or by going to the 5th floor of Shinsegae Department Store towards Famille Town (next to Hermès).
For the luggage lockers next to Daiso on the B1 floor of Dongdaegu Subway Station, the basic fees for 4 hours are: Small ~$1, Medium ~$2, Large ~$4. Operating hours are from 05:00 to 24:00, within the subway operating hours.
For the luggage lockers near Exit 1 inside Dongdaegu Station, the basic fees for 2 hours are: Small ~$1, Medium ~$1, Large ~$1, Extra-large ~$2. After the basic period, additional hourly fees are applied based on size: Small ~$0, Medium ~$0, Extra-large ~$0.
