Daegu Shinsegae Luggage Storage 2026: Free & Paid Options, Plus Aquarium Fun

I recently took a train trip to Daegu with my child.

Navigating a new city with a little one's hand in mine and a heavy bag on my shoulder was tougher than I expected!

So, my first mission was to find a convenient luggage storage spot near Dongdaegu Station.

I discovered both paid and free options, and I'm excited to share all the details to help anyone else traveling with bags!

And once I was free from my heavy luggage, I explored some fantastic things to do at Daegu Shinsegae Department Store, which I'll also tell you about!

1. Paid Luggage Storage Options

The paid luggage storage lockers are conveniently located right next to the Daiso store, which you'll find in the underground passage connecting to Daegu Shinsegae Department Store from the subway.

Just head downstairs!

These coin lockers are right next to the Daiso store at Dongdaegu Station, and there was plenty of space when I visited.

The operating hours for the paid luggage storage at Dongdaegu Station are from 5:00 AM to midnight.

There are three sizes available: small, medium, and large. The large lockers are perfect for standard suitcases.

Here are the prices for the paid luggage storage. A single backpack usually fits in a small locker, two backpacks in a medium, and a full-sized suitcase in a large.

Important: These lockers only accept $1 bills (or equivalent small denominations). You'll use a password to access your locker.

2. Free Luggage Storage Options

For free luggage storage, head to the 5th floor of Daegu Shinsegae Department Store!

Walk straight down the corridor next to the Hermes boutique. This area connects to both the bus terminal and Dongdaegu Station, and you'll find the complimentary lockers there.

There are significantly more free lockers on the 5th floor of the department store compared to the paid ones next to Daiso. I was worried they might all be taken, but luckily, there were plenty available!

These free lockers are complimentary for the first 4 hours. After that, they convert to a paid service.

After the initial 4-hour free period, an hourly fee applies, which varies slightly by locker size.

The free storage area offers small and large lockers. A small locker was perfect for my backpack, and the large ones can comfortably fit a standard suitcase.

3. Things to Do at Daegu Shinsegae Department Store

Once I was free from my heavy bags, I headed straight to the 9th floor of the department store. Daegu Shinsegae's 9th floor is a hub of entertainment, featuring an arcade and, most notably, a fantastic aquarium!
