I really had my heart set on the Marriott among Daegu hotels, but whether they didn't have 4-person rooms or were completely booked, the Daegu Grand Hotel showed up as an option, so I went for it.

The Inter-Burgo's location felt a bit out of the way,

so I opted for the Grand Hotel because of its excellent accessibility to the city center ☝🏼

I booked a **1-night stay on Saturday** through MyRealTrip and **paid ~$172**.

Grand Hotel Perks

✔️Great value for money.

✔️Free parking available.

✔️Good accessibility to Dongseong-ro / Dongdaegu.

✔️It has a classic charm.

✔️There's a Starbucks Reserve store in the 1st-floor lobby.

For the same dates, the Marriott wasn't available for 4 guests, and even for 2 people, it was in the late ~$260s. So, with the Grand Hotel coming in at the ~$170s for 4 people, it definitely felt like a great value!

Grand Hotel Drawback

☝🏼It feels a bit dated.

While it's not a cutting-edge hotel,

as someone in my late 30s, I much prefer a classic hotel over one that feels vaguely like a motel!

You can definitely feel the passage of time here, but it also seemed to have undergone renovations in places, and it was impeccably clean.

It felt like the lobby saw more guests utilizing the hotel for events than those just staying overnight.

The building spans from the 4th basement level all the way up to the 12th floor.

You can probably get a sense of what kind of hotel it is, right?

Whether it's 'just old' or

'charmingly classic'

probably depends on your perspective.

When I requested a high floor during booking,

I was assigned to the top floor, the 12th floor!

And the view from our room?

We could clearly see Beomeo Cathedral.

A spacious sofa, perfect for four.

There's a convenient workspace, perfect for catching up on tasks or planning your next adventure.

You'll find a safe to keep your valuables secure and a mini-fridge for your refreshments.

An electric kettle, one bottle of water per person, and delightful Damtuh green tea bags are provided.

Good news! You can request an additional bottle of water per person, which I happily did.

The bathroom essentials include body wash, shampoo, conditioner, four plush body towels, and four hand towels – everything you need for a refreshing experience.

Just a little heads-up:

Toothpaste, toothbrushes, and foam cleanser

you'll want to bring along.

One luxurious King bed and one comfortable Queen-sized bed

are seamlessly combined to create a truly spacious sleeping arrangement!

Right in front of the beds, you'll find a TV

that's ready for all your entertainment needs, including YouTube!

The bedding was a delightful, crisp cotton that felt just right – a little heavy for comfort. Though it was cool when we first settled in, it quickly warmed up, making for a truly satisfying sleep experience! We were absolutely thrilled with the bedding.

The indoor air was quite dry, and my friends found it a bit challenging.

I'm not sure if humidifiers are available upon request, but it might be worth checking!

The parking area was quite spacious, and I even spotted a Maybach – it's been a while!
