I really had my heart set on the Marriott among Daegu hotels, but whether they didn't have 4-person rooms or were completely booked, the Daegu Grand Hotel showed up as an option, so I went for it.

The Inter-Burgo's location felt a bit out of the way,

Grand Hotel Perks

✔️It has a classic charm.

✔️There's a Starbucks Reserve store in the 1st-floor lobby.

For the same dates, the Marriott wasn't available for 4 guests, and even for 2 people, it was in the late ~$260s. So, with the Grand Hotel coming in at the ~$170s for 4 people, it definitely felt like a great value!

Grand Hotel Drawback

While it's not a cutting-edge hotel,

as someone in my late 30s, I much prefer a classic hotel over one that feels vaguely like a motel!

You can definitely feel the passage of time here, but it also seemed to have undergone renovations in places, and it was impeccably clean.
