At first, we also looked into package tours.
But we wanted to be able to adjust our plans
on the fly based on our child's condition,
so we ultimately decided on a 5-day, 4-night self-guided trip.
From flights to accommodation and tours,
we booked everything ourselves to build our perfect itinerary.
Because of the flight times,
it was such a packed, fulfilling itinerary that it felt more like a 6-day trip!
Flights for a Da Nang & Hoi An Family Trip
For the flights from Seoul to Da Nang,
we booked for a group of three on Trip.com.

Da Nang & Hoi An 5-Day, 4-Night Accommodation
Since this was a trip to Da Nang and Hoi An with a child,
choosing where to stay was what we agonized over the most.
Traveling with a kid, we had two non-negotiable conditions:
A heated pool
A kid-friendly 5-star resort
The most highly recommended resorts for families in Da Nang were
Mikazuki, Shilla Monogram,
Grandvrio Ocean, and Naman Retreat.
Among those, the ones with heated pools were Mikazuki and Shilla Monogram,
and we decided to spend 2 nights at Mikazuki, which also boasts an amazing water park!
If you are planning a family trip with kids,
I absolutely, highly, 100% recommend
Mikazuki Resort with its water park..!

For the remaining 2 nights, we chose
Grandvrio Ocean, which includes morning yoga, Ao Dai experiences,
and a shuttle service to both Hoi An and Da Nang.
To book the rooms, we first checked the lowest prices on Agoda,
and then compared them with Stay & More to see which package options
offered the best value.
Depending on what perks are included, the actual value you feel can
be quite different even if the raw price is similar,
so I highly recommend comparing both platforms.

Da Nang & Hoi An 5-Day, 4-Night Itinerary
Day 1 | Seoul → Arrive in Da Nang
After a flight of about 5 hours,
you're bound to feel pretty exhausted.
Booking airport fast-track and hotel pickup service
in advance will save you a lot of energy on your arrival day.
We wrapped up our first day by getting a spa treatment at the resort
and getting plenty of rest.
Oh my... ending a tiring flight
with a relaxing spa session was absolute bliss itself!
Day 2 | Mikazuki Resort
We spent the whole day fully enjoying the water park and spa
at Mikazuki Resort.
If you're planning a family trip to Da Nang with kids,
this day alone makes the entire trip worth it!
In the evening, it's great to head out to downtown Da Nang
for a light itinerary—exploring Han Market,
exchanging money, and grabbing dinner.
Day 3 | Mikazuki → Grandvrio Ocean Resort
+ VinWonders Nam Hoi An
For the morning schedule, I highly, highly recommend the VinWonders Nam Hoi An tour..!
If I had to pick the ultimate favorite spot for kids
on a Da Nang family itinerary, this is hands-down the one.
VinWonders Nam Hoi An isn't just about the water park.
You can hop on a River Safari to get up close and personal with amazing animals,
explore a thrilling theme park packed with exciting rides and lively parades,
and even catch traditional Vietnamese cultural performances.
It's a massive, all-in-one entertainment paradise!
There is also a cultural village zone where tradition meets modernity,
offering kids a truly unique and enriching experience.
Since it's quite a distance from downtown Da Nang,
booking a private tour that includes hotel pick-up and drop-off makes life so much easier.
Since the location is a bit tricky to reach via public transport,
I highly recommend choosing a tour package that includes
hassle-free transportation, especially if you're traveling with kids.
While you can find tours on platforms like Klook or MyRealTrip,
if you book through Peak Time and enter the discount code 츄장,
you'll get an extra ~$1 discount per booking,
making it cheaper than any other platform.

After wrapping up the tour, we headed over to Grandvrio Ocean Resort,
checked in, and enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation.
If you still have some energy left, getting a massage
or indulging in the hotel's on-site spa is the perfect way to unwind!!
Day 4 | Grandvrio Ocean Resort + Hoi An
One of the main reasons we chose this resort
was because they offer a free shuttle service directly from the hotel to Hoi An!
After starting our day with morning yoga and a delicious breakfast,
we enjoyed a spa treatment, tried on traditional Ao Dai,
and even sorted out lunch using the voucher we received upon booking.
In the afternoon, head over to Hoi An
to see the Old Town and float a wishing lantern on a boat—and just like that, you have the ultimate, action-packed day.
A huge perk is that you don't have to spend around ~$13
to custom-make an Ao Dai that you'll probably never wear again back home—
saving you some extra pocket change!
Day 5 | Grandvrio Ocean Resort → Ba Na Hills Tour → Seoul
The highlight of our final day was the Ba Na Hills tour!
The best part is that you can load your luggage right into the tour vehicle
after check-out, allowing you to explore freely
without dragging bags around until the very last minute.
Ba Na Hills is a stunning mountain resort located 1,400 meters above sea level,
and just riding the scenic cable car on the way up is
It is already a spectacular sight to behold in itself,
But the ultimate photo spot is definitely the Golden Bridge!
With giant stone hands cradling the golden walkway,
it's an absolute must-visit landmark for any Da Nang family trip.
If it's your first time visiting Da Nang, you absolutely cannot miss this!
If you are traveling with kids,
you can also fully enjoy the amusement park area inside Ba Na Hills,
making the time absolutely fly by.
The tour itinerary follows this route:
Ba Na Hills (Golden Bridge) → Buffet Lunch inside Ba Na Hills →
Local Spa Massage → Dinner → Shopping at Lotte Mart
and finally, heading to Da Nang Airport.
I highly recommend this route
for anyone looking to fully pack their final day before heading home!!
(It is seriously so well-planned..!)

you can wrap up your trip and enjoy a completely stress-free experience at the airport.
(Honestly, I recommend the departure Fast Track
