While planning my trip to Takamatsu, I discovered and chose the Comfort Hotel Takamatsu! My plan was to visit Ritsurin Garden, so the fact that I could walk there, combined with the incredibly affordable price and free breakfast, made it an absolute gem. Let me introduce you to this hotel that offers amazing value for money :)

Where is it located?

The Comfort Hotel is conveniently located midway between Takamatsu's essential Ritsurin Garden and the vibrant Lion Dori Shopping Arcade.

You can reach Ritsurin Garden in just a 13-minute walk, which is exactly how I got there! :)

While the shopping arcade is about a 16-minute walk, which might feel a little far, there's a limousine bus stop conveniently located near the hotel.

If you take the limousine bus from Takamatsu Airport and get off at the Nakajincho stop, the hotel is approximately a 2-minute walk away.

I was assigned the 10th floor, and the view overlooked the buildings in front.

The Room

The room might feel a little small for two people. However, since the hotel was built quite recently, it was incredibly clean and tidy.

Honestly, I didn't even realize it was a new build when I booked, but it was so sparkling clean, I immediately thought, 'Wow, this must be brand new!'

The room was equipped with slippers, a laundry bag, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and cups. Bathrobes, however, are not in the room and need to be picked up from the lobby.

The bathtub was surprisingly spacious, and the bathroom was spotless!

4. Inside the Hotel🚶‍♀️

Comfort Hotel's lobby is on the 2nd floor.

It's a self-check-in/check-out system,

but a staff member was right there to kindly assist me~

At Comfort Hotel Takamatsu, there's a cafe next to the lobby that's open to all guests, and they even have welcome drinks (coffee, juice) available there.

It felt a bit like a book cafe, with books scattered around and outlets at the tables, so it seemed like a great spot for some blogging (though I ended up too tired to write!). Plus, there were a few board games too.

There was a large tourist map on one side of the wall, which made it easy to get a sense of the locations and general vibe of the attractions.

5. Breakfast

There was a board like this where guests could check off when they planned to have breakfast. While not all guests might have marked it, it gave a rough idea of the crowd levels.

Affordable Stay AND Free Breakfast!

For breakfast, there were options ranging from bread to keema curry, simple salads, and it seemed like the smoothie types changed seasonally. For autumn, they reportedly had grape, sweet potato oatmeal, and apple yogurt smoothies ready.

Breakfast is served in the area that doubles as the cafe next to the lobby (on the 2nd floor). The window seats offer a lovely city view of Takamatsu, so dining there while looking out seems like a fantastic idea!

What I Loved ✨

First off, since it's recently built, it was incredibly spotless! Often, affordable hotels can be a bit older, but after staying at several places recently, this was definitely the cleanest. The cafe atmosphere was also lovely, and the staff were really friendly. And breakfast included for this price? Amazing!

What I Wished For 🥺

The parking fee felt a bit pricey at 1,200 JPY, so I found a nearby parking lot and walked a short distance.
