When preparing for a trip to Paris,
the absolute must-consider factors are, of course,
right? accommodation location and air conditioning?
I've genuinely heard so many stories from people around me
about struggling because many European accommodations
either don't have AC or it's so ineffective it might as well not be there.
What's more, in Paris,
the atmosphere and safety vary wildly from arrondissement to arrondissement,
so choosing a location that's definitely safe and easy to get around
makes for a much more relaxed trip.
Typically, areas considered safe and convenient for accommodation
include the 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 15th arrondissements.
Since I was planning to visit the Louvre Museum,
I focused my search on Paris 1st arrondissement hotels
for convenient travel.
So, the place I ultimately chose and visited
was none other than Citadines Les Halles Paris!
I snagged it when a special deal popped up, haha!
It was super convenient for getting around since it's
right in front of Châtelet-Les Halles station, and having a
small kitchenette in the room was incredibly useful!

This is genuinely a place where you wouldn't regret your money
even if you booked it for the location alone!
It's a super transit-friendly accommodation, with Châtelet-Les Halles station,
Paris's largest interchange, just a 3-4 minute walk away.
With 5 metro lines
and 3 RER lines passing through, it was easy to get to and from the airport on RER Line B,
and you could reach most major tourist spots directly, making travel incredibly convenient.
The Louvre Museum, Centre Pompidou,
and Notre Dame Cathedral
are all within an impressive 10-15 minute walk
from this Paris 1st arrondissement hotel.
There were also bakeries, supermarkets, and a shopping mall
close to the accommodation,
which was great for grocery shopping in the evening, haha.

The price for Citadines Les Halles Paris
varied significantly depending on the date, exchange rate, room type,
and cancellation policy.
Even when I booked,
the final price differed across various platforms.

open a single suitcase.
Citadines Les Halles is a residence-style
apartment hotel, so it offers plenty of space
and was very versatile.
The kitchenette comes equipped with a refrigerator, microwave,
dishwasher, and cooking utensils!
Paris prices are truly outrageous,
and if you eat out for every meal,
your wallet will be empty in no time.
By buying flat peaches,
bread, butter, and other groceries from a nearby supermarket
and cooking simple meals at the accommodation,
I was able to save a lot on food costs, which was great.
Especially for those traveling with children or parents,
having a kitchen at the accommodation seems like a huge advantage.
And a crucial factor was
whether Citadines Les Halles Paris has air conditioning!
Yes, there's air conditioning.
When I stayed, the air conditioning worked
quite well, making the room very comfortable.
When traveling in Europe during the summer,
accommodation with good cooling is important,
and it was satisfying to be able to relax in a cool room
after a day of sightseeing!
3. Tips for Breakfast at Citadines Les Halles Paris
Citadines Les Halles Paris is an accommodation that
offers breakfast.
You can enjoy it buffet-style
in a dedicated space on the first floor.
It's available both weekdays and weekends from 7 AM to 10 AM.
The price for adults is usually
around 20 Euros per person, but
personally,
spending ~$21 every morning felt a bit burdensome, to be honest. ㅜㅠ
So, I only had breakfast at the hotel for about one day,
and on other days, I bought fresh bread from bakeries
near the hotel in Paris's 1st arrondissement,
then enjoyed it with the free coffee provided at the accommodation, haha.
In Paris, you can walk into any neighborhood bakery,
and whether it's a baguette or a croissant, everything is delicious,
so enjoying a different kind of bread
every day was quite fun! haha
(French bread is on another level!)
A Few Drawbacks
Overall, it was a satisfying accommodation, but
there were a few drawbacks.
First, Citadines Les Halles Paris
is a residence hotel, so unlike a regular hotel,
they don't clean the rooms daily.
Typically, room cleaning is provided only once
if you stay for 6 nights or more.
And while towels are provided in your room,
if you need extra ones,
you'll need to head to the storage locker on the 1st floor
to grab them and replace them yourself.
Honestly, it's not a big deal, though!
Since it's located in a bustling area near Châtelet station,
if you leave the windows open,
you might hear some street noise.
For those sensitive to noise, I recommend
requesting an inner room or a higher-floor room
when you check in.
Just a heads-up: I've seen in reviews that depending on room availability,
your requested bed type or
view might not always be accommodated. ㅜㅜ
Laundry Room and Other Facilities
You can enjoy **free coffee, tea, and cocoa**
on the 1st floor near the reception,
so I made sure to grab a cup before and after heading out.
(Morning coffee, saved on cafe expenses!)
Inside the building,
there's a **self-service laundry room** (for a fee),
making it perfect for long-term guests
who are staying for multiple nights or have a long itinerary
to use conveniently.
Even when traveling, some people just *have* to
work out, right?
While there aren't many machines,
there's also a **mini gym**!
The lounge is also quite beautiful.

Plus, you can **store your luggage for free**
even before check-in or after check-out,
allowing you to explore freely on your last day.
