01. FF Hotel (Jiefangbei Bayilu Branch)
📍 FF Hotel
24th Floor, Room 2401, Jinyu Building, No. 108, Bayi Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing City, China. Postal Code: 400011
Right up until my trip to Chongqing, I spent a lot, a LOT of time thinking about accommodation.
It had to be great value, clean, and I needed to be able to get deliveries
easily. Plus, the location had to be excellent...
To cut right to the chase, the hotel I stayed at this time
was absolutely perfect in terms of price, location, and convenience!
This is none other than the FF Hotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Bayilu Branch)!
Being in the heart of Jiefangbei, it was fantastic for sightseeing. And when you think of budget hotels in China,
you often picture windowless rooms, cramped spaces, or stuffy layouts, but this was so much better than that!!!

02. FF Hotel Prices

I booked this accommodation for around ~$17 per night.
I booked a total of 3 nights, and the total price was ~$56!
Isn't that just incredible, incredible value for money?!
It's not just cheap; it's right in the heart of Jiefangbei, and offers:
high-floor rooms, a bathtub, a spacious bed, delivery services, and even a window...
With all these conditions and at that ~$17 range, honestly, I think I hit the jackpot for my Chongqing trip!
Especially when traveling, saving on accommodation means you can invest more in food, sightseeing, and shopping.
So, for anyone looking for value-for-money accommodation, I wholeheartedly, wholeheartedly recommend this place!

02. Accommodation Check-in Review
Check-in at FF Hotel is primarily done on the 24th floor.
There are two elevators that go from the 1st floor to the 23rd floor,
and two more elevators that go from the 24th floor upwards.
So, you need to pay attention to which elevator you take!
You might be worried about a shortage of elevators,
but during my four-day stay, I never once felt frustrated by a slow elevator.
They actually came surprisingly quickly!
📌 Check-in is after 2 PM
📌 Check-out is before 12 PM (noon)

The moment I stepped into the room, I was surprised by how spacious it was!
Since check-in typically happens on a higher floor,
the rooms are generally on higher floors too, so the view wasn't bad at all!
And what I loved most was that the room had a window...
When you book budget accommodation in China, it's quite common to find rooms without windows
or with very small ones, but this place felt wonderfully open and airy!

When I made my reservation, I specifically requested a room with a bathtub in the Trip.com request section,
and perhaps because of that, I was able to get a spacious room with a tub!
It was absolutely perfect for unwinding with a hot bath every evening.

The bed was super spacious, easily accommodating two people,
the mattress was comfortable, and I slept wonderfully!
A great thing was that there were power outlets on both sides of the bed, so couples
or friends wouldn't have to fight over them.
The only slight downside is that the outlets are the flat two-pin type, so
plugs from other regions might not fit!

The shower and sink area were separated,
and this separated layout is surprisingly convenient, especially when two people
are getting ready at the same time!

The shower area basically had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
provided, and there were two small towels and two large towels.
It was great that they replenished them generously every day.
No Tobacco Smell

Many people worry about this when booking hotels in China, right?
I was worried too, but I hardly noticed any tobacco smell.
Although there was an ashtray in the room, the smell was actually zero!
Perhaps it's because the windows ventilate well...?
Meituan Delivery Available

China has an excellent delivery app system,
making it a country where everything can be delivered!
This hotel is also in the city center, so deliveries were easy to get,
and most famous desserts and popular restaurants
offer reliable delivery, which was great.
Sometimes deliveries would go to the first floor, but the delivery person
would take a photo and send it, so I had no worries.
Once a delivery went to the first floor, but mostly they came to the door
or left it at the main hotel lobby.

The FF Hotel's location was truly excellent.
It was incredibly convenient for first-time visitors to Chongqing to get around, as it was:
✔️ 3-minute walk to Jiefangbei Tower
✔️ 5-minute walk to Jiefangbei Night Market
✔️ 13-minute walk to Hongyadong
✔️ 8-minute walk to the subway station
With this, you can enjoy almost all of Chongqing's main tourist attractions
within walking distance. In fact, during my trip to Chongqing,
I mainly used the subway or walked, and I didn't use a taxi at all.

During the day, I explored Jiefangbei, went to the night market in the evening,
and at night, I could even see the Hongyadong night view and walk back to the accommodation completely!
It was great to save on taxi fares,
and even returning late at night, the area around Jiefangbei is so bustling
that it felt safe, making the location truly excellent.
On the first floor of the building, there's Ruixing Coffee and FamilyMart,
so I always ordered coffee before heading out in the morning and picked it up!
In the evening, stopping by the convenience store for a beer and taking a half-bath in the tub
was also incredibly relaxing...
