Chiikawa Park Tokyo Tickets 2026: Booking & What to Expect
Planning a trip to Chiikawa Park Tokyo? Get ready for an enchanting adventure! Learn how to secure your tickets, find the best deals, and explore this delightful indoor theme park.

If you're familiar with the character Chiikawa,
then I highly recommend you visit Tokyo's Chiikawa Park at least once!
It's an indoor theme park created based on the Chiikawa universe,
and it was incredibly fun with all sorts of attractions
like photo zones, animation screenings, and free experience areas!
Reservations

Chiikawa Park operates on a pre-reservation system,
so booking your admission ticket is essential.
You can choose your entry time from 10 AM to 6:40 PM,
with 20-minute intervals available.
Since it tends to get crowded on weekend mornings and lunchtimes,
I recommend visiting on a weekday afternoon if you can!

Location, Entrance

It's located about a 7-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station.
Many people get confused about the entrance:
the large sign that says "Chiikawa Park" is NOT the entrance;
it's actually the exit, so you can't go in there.

Search for "Sunshine City Nitori" directly across the street.
When you arrive, you'll see an escalator.
Take it down, and you'll find the Chiikawa Park entrance underground.

My Experience at Chiikawa Park

After ticket verification, you wait at the entrance,
and they let people in a few at a time.

They gave us something like a sticker? But honestly, it wasn't very useful...
I wish they gave something more practical, haha.

It was a weekday afternoon, so there weren't many people around.
Momonga must have been bored while we were waiting,
because it kept coming over to peek at us, haha.
Even if it was just the Momonga mascot, it was adorable..🩵

Right as you step in, you're greeted by photo zones featuring Shisa and Master!

You can even snap photos with your favorite characters!
And the best part? You can download them using a QR code right then and there.

There's also a super cute Rattko photo zone!
While you can't hop in beside him, you can totally get into the back seat for some awesome shots.

Get ready to swoon over this incredibly adorable Chiikawa space..🩷
The walls here come alive with animated videos playing automatically, creating such a whimsical atmosphere!

Look at Chiikawa hitting the books! Keep up the great work, Chiikawa! You got this!!

Don't miss the photo zone with Hachiware, who's hilariously stuck in a hole!
Just like before, you can scan a QR code to download your photo.
But here's a tip: the resolution isn't amazing, so it might be a good idea for one person to take the official photo while a friend snaps a better one with their phone!

As you venture into the next area, prepare to be amazed by a series of wondrous courses!
You'll get to watch videos with 3D glasses, wander through a dazzling mirror-lined space, and much more.
Plus, for some of the bigger photo zones, friendly staff members are on hand to help you capture the perfect shot!

To be honest, I only knew the characters and not the full story.
So, I watched a quick summary on YouTube before coming, and I was genuinely surprised!
It's not just cute; it actually has some incredibly realistic and even a bit heartbreaking themes...
Apparently, they're like little working 'slaves,' earning their living... 🥺
Once you've explored everything, get ready for a special treat:
a chance to snap photos with the characters themselves!
Two random characters from Hachiware, Momonga, Chiikawa, and Usagi come out at a time, so while you might not get to pose with your absolute favorite, a little bit of luck could be on your side!

Maybe it was because we were the only ones there for photos at that moment, but after we took our pictures, they kept up the amazing 'fan service' for ages! 😂
The way they just impulsively hugged us was seriously SO kawaii... absolutely adorable!

And look at Momonga waving goodbye until the very end... wait, is that a *fake* Momonga?! 😂
Even if it's not the 'real' one, how could anyone possibly resist that adorable face and not love it?!

Now, hold on a minute! Don't think you can just rush to the exit after all those photos.
Nope, the adventure isn't quite over yet – it's cleverly designed so you *absolutely* have to make a stop at the amazing goods shop! 😉

The goods shop has just about everything you could wish for,
from dolls, hats, keyrings, and apparel to snacks!
I even heard they have limited edition items!

Chiikawa Park is fantastic for families with kids, but even if you're an adult who loves cute things,
you'll have an absolutely blast going with friends!
I watched some of the animation's story on YouTube beforehand,
but honestly, you'll still have an amazing time even if you go in blind!
If you happen to be in Ikebukuro during your Tokyo travels,
I highly recommend making a stop here! ☺️
