Today, I'm bringing you a recommendation for an amazing downtown Nha Trang restaurant.

I had a delicious lunch at Chao Mao 2, a restaurant specializing in seafood, and it was 100% paid for with my own money. It was so good that I actually went back a second time during my 3-night, 5-day trip!

While doing some research to write this blog post, I found out there's actually a way to book a table in advance with a whopping 10% discount.. 🥹ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I only just found out about this now..

Three generations of our family—including my parents, my sister, my brother-in-law, my niece, my husband, and me—traveled to Nha Trang during the Lunar New Year holiday (Vietnam's Tet season). I spent so much time searching for a great restaurant in downtown Nha Trang for our first day. In our case, my mom doesn't eat pork at all, so I figured seafood would be the perfect choice.

And that's how we decided on Chao Mao 2, a seafood specialty restaurant! 🦀

Because they source live seafood fresh every morning, you can enjoy incredibly fresh dishes! I heard it was even featured on the Nha Trang episode of the popular Korean food show, 'Delicious Guys'.

It's also fun just looking at the fresh catches in the tanks! 🦞

First of all, Chao Mao 2 has such an amazing location, which makes it even easier to recommend. You can easily sort out massage shops, fruit stalls, and shopping all right nearby! Hahaha.

They get a lot of Korean tourists, so they have Korean menus and English translations ready, which made ordering super convenient! 👍🏻

There are first and second floors, and we were guided to the second floor.

I booked in advance via Instagram DM, but if you don't use Instagram or find DM booking too complicated, booking through the Klook link I shared above is even better because you can get a discount! 🤍

They have great group seating arrangements, so it was perfect for a big family group like ours!

As soon as we sat down, we ordered ice-cold beers! 🍻🍺🧊

When I visited, it was during the holiday season (Tet period) where prices rise by 10% T_T

After ordering the 4-person set, we added a few extra dishes:

We added spicy seafood Mi Quang, garlic stir-fried tiger prawns, deep-fried coconut shrimp, crab fried rice, and some Coca-Colas~~~

I heard a lot of people end up returning here, and well, we did exactly that lol! 😂 With amazing reviews and a solid reputation, it's a fail-proof downtown Nha Trang spot. Plus, no crazy wait times, which makes traveling in a group so much easier!
