Personally, Casa Milà suited my taste more than Casa Batlló.
I visited its interior during my second trip to Barcelona,
and it was such a great experience that I felt lucky to have had the chance to visit Barcelona twice.

However, it's less popular than some of Gaudí's other works,
so many people wonder if Casa Milà's interior is worth visiting,
which is better between Casa Milà and Casa Batlló,
and where the best place to book Casa Milà tickets is.
It's true that many people are curious about these things.
So today, along with a review of my Casa Milà interior visit,
I'll be posting about whether it's more advantageous to book tickets via the official website or Marit.
Let's dive into it.
Casa Milà Interior Review
Is Casa Milà's Interior Worth Visiting?

Casa Milà, a house Gaudí built for the entrepreneur Mr. and Mrs. Milà.
While the colors aren't overly vibrant,
from its wave-like undulating exterior walls
to its rooftop, exhibition hall, and living spaces, it's packed with things to see.
What's more, people still live there!

Just like its exterior, Casa Milà's interior
is decorated in a luxurious, sandy-beige color.
It's also less crowded than Casa Batlló,
giving it a calmer and more stable feel.
Just like the exterior, the interior also features curves,
making even ordinary hallways feel uniquely special.
What's more, it's well-restored to show how Barcelona's middle class
lived in their apartments back then, offering a fascinating glimpse into the lifestyle of that era.

Head up to the attic, and you'll find an exhibition space
where you can truly grasp Gaudí's architectural philosophy, which is why I highly recommend visiting it first among Gaudí's works!

From the rooftop, you can admire the beautiful Passeig de Gràcia
and even spot the Sagrada Familia. Not only are the views stunning,
but Gaudí's unique rooftop design, with its chimney stacks resembling sand soldiers,
is also a sight to behold.
In a nutshell, Casa Milà is definitely worth the entrance fee if it suits your taste!

Casa Milà vs. Casa Batlló
If you're wondering which to visit
To get straight to the point:
If you prefer a calm and quiet atmosphere, Casa Milà is for you.
If you love a vibrant and dynamic vibe, Casa Batlló is recommended.
Category | Casa Milà | Casa Batlló |
Recommended For | Relaxed viewing Curiosity about middle-class life / Gaudí's artistic world | Vibrant colors Impactful design Families with children |
Visiting Time | Approx. 1.5 hours | Approx. 1 hour |
Interior Style | Calm and sophisticated Divisive (can be subjective) | Vibrant and intuitive Popular |
Crowds | Moderate | High |

The biggest difference between the two is their color schemes and interior designs.
Casa Batlló boasts more vibrant colors compared to Casa Milà,
and features many relatively intuitive elements, like fish bones.
Casa Milà, on the other hand, is predominantly beige,
exuding a strong sense of calm and sophistication.

The interior living spaces you can explore at Casa Milà,
or the exhibition halls that offer a deeper dive into Gaudí's architectural world,
aren't present at Casa Batlló.
Therefore, for those who love art galleries and museums,
Casa Milà might be more to your liking.
