Today, I'm introducing a restaurant near Bucheon Station that my friends, who live in Bucheon, rave about and took me to:

Yeontan-gui Kkamtan!

It's a fantastic spot near Bucheon Station where you can savor not only beef and pork, but also fresh seafood like fan scallops and regular scallops, all grilled over yeontan briquettes.

It was truly satisfying because it's the perfect place when you want to enjoy both meat and seafood in one sitting.

It's a hidden gem of a restaurant near Bucheon Station, located in an alley, about a 10-minute walk from Exits 4, 5, or 6.

How to Make a Reservation & Waiting Tips

Waiting lines can occur at Yeontan-gui Kkamtan during peak dinner hours.

You can make a reservation by phone in advance, or visit right after opening between 5 PM and 6 PM to enter without waiting.

Exterior / Interior

Yeontan-gui Kkamtan, nestled in an alley, allows you to check the menu from outside.

Being able to enjoy fresh seafood like scallops and oysters alongside meat, all in one place, is Kkamtan's biggest charm!

I visited around 6 PM and got in without waiting, but the restaurant quickly filled up during our meal.

Waiting lines can form during peak hours.

The interior has about 8-9 round tables, creating a cozy atmosphere at this Bucheon Station meat restaurant.

The restrooms are located inside the restaurant, separated by gender, and are surprisingly well-maintained.

Menu & Our Order

Yeontan-gui Kkamtan's signature dish is the Kkamtan Hanpan (Kkamtan Platter), which includes the Small Pork Platter and Cheese Scallops.

Beyond that, they also offer a variety of seafood options like cheese scallops and oysters.

Review

After ordering, the basic side dishes are set.

Barley ssamjang, wasabi, salt, bean sprouts, green onion kimchi, seasoned chili, young radish pickles, shredded green onions, garlic, and even seaweed soup!

If you need more side dishes or extra plates, you can freely get them from the self-service bar.

The Small Pork Platter that arrived first offers a variety of cuts: pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl (deolmi), pork sirloin cap (deungsimdeotsal), plus a taste of pork rind.

Shishito peppers and mushrooms are also served alongside.

The meat is fresh, pink, and thick.

We started by grilling the pork belly, pork neck, and pork sirloin cap in order.

Eating the perfectly grilled meat with a dab of wasabi really enhances the savory and umami flavors.

It was my first time trying the pork sirloin cap, and

That chewy, savory goodness was absolutely delicious!

And those mushrooms, grilled to perfection in the meat drippings? A truly exquisite side dish!

Next on the culinary journey: Cheese Scallops!

Their generous size and incredible freshness left me completely satisfied.

Each scallop was perfectly topped with a harmonious blend of cheese,

spicy Cheongyang chili peppers, garlic, and a special seasoning sauce.

Once the plump scallop meat effortlessly detached, it was a simple scoop onto the spoon and a blissful bite!

The chewy, tender scallops, combined with the sweet and tangy sauce,

and the zesty kick of Cheongyang chili peppers and garlic – the synergy was absolutely perfect.

It was so utterly delicious that we simply had to order another platter!

Next time, I might just come here solely to feast on scallops to my heart's content!

To round off the meal, we indulged in a taste of grilled pork skin (kkeopdegi).

Its thick, chewy texture, when dipped in the nutty soybean powder,

truly amplifies its savory depth.

Even my friend, who usually isn't a fan of pork skin, devoured it, exclaiming how delicious it was!

To conclude our feast with some satisfying carbs, we ordered Doenjang-sulbap (rice in soybean paste stew) and Yeolmu-guksu (cold noodles with young radish kimchi).

Not only were they affordable, but the portions were incredibly generous;

the Doenjang-sulbap offered a rich, savory, and hearty flavor,

while the Yeolmu-guksu was absolutely perfect for a cool and refreshing finish.

Overall Verdict

For those days when you're craving both succulent grilled meats and fresh seafood,
