As a frequent solo traveler, I often opt for affordable capsule hotels in Tokyo. Today, I'm excited to share a truly distinctive one. This place has a unique concept that makes it incredibly popular, so booking well in advance is essential. It took me a while to secure a reservation, but it was worth it to bring you this Tokyo capsule hotel review!
The Upsides
First and foremost, it's all about the price. Being a capsule hotel, you can stay much more affordably compared to traditional hotels. But it's not just cheap; the common areas here are simply stunning! They're packed with magazines and manga, but it's not just a haphazard collection. The interior design is incredibly tasteful, making it a joy to explore and soak in the atmosphere.
The charming cafe in the lobby is another fantastic bonus. I really wanted to try that black ice cream, but I never got around to it – definitely a goal for my next visit! For a capsule hotel, this level of ambiance and value truly makes it a top contender for affordable accommodation in Tokyo.
The Downsides
Of course, it wouldn't be a capsule hotel without some common drawbacks. Expect shared bathrooms and restrooms, and be aware that noise can sometimes be an issue, as is typical for this type of accommodation.

The "Book and Bed" theme is truly the main attraction here, which is why I focused my photos on these communal spaces. I only managed to snap one shot of a bed itself! You can get a glimpse of the capsule room entrances in the bottom right photo, and yes, even those are decorated with books.
It's a slight regret that I couldn't read the manga since my Japanese isn't up to par, but just being surrounded by the atmosphere was fantastic. For this kind of unique vibe and price, I'd confidently say it's an excellent choice for an affordable Tokyo hotel.
It's important to note that Tokyo capsule hotel prices can fluctuate quite a bit depending on the season and how far in advance you book. If there's a festival or major event, like Halloween (I went last year, in 2025, and it was truly amazing – rooms in Shinjuku and Shibuya were practically nonexistent and incredibly expensive!), prices will definitely jump.
