Paris Bolt Promo Code & Discount Guide
Affordable Rides from CDG Airport to City Center
When traveling from Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport to Paris, most travelers default to the crowded RER train or the bus.
But did you know you can get a private, comfortable ride for almost the same price? By using a Bolt promo code, I managed to book a private ride directly to my hotel without breaking the bank.
Today, I will share the latest Bolt promo codes, how to apply them, and exactly where to find the Bolt pickup spot at CDG Airport so you can avoid common traveler mistakes!
How to Get Your Bolt Promo Code

First, download the Bolt app on your phone. You can register using your home phone number, but make sure to sign up and enter the promo code once you actually land in France! Doing this beforehand in your home country might prevent the code from registering properly.
For payment, I highly recommend linking a credit card or Apple Pay. Cash is highly discouraged for promo code rides and makes the process much more complicated.

Once you open the Bolt app, tap the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top-left corner.

Go to "Promotions", tap "Enter promo code", and type in BONVOYAGE. Please note that this specific code is for first-time users only.
✔️ Get 70% off your ride (up to €30)
✔️ Any amount exceeding the discount will be automatically charged to your registered payment method.

If you are an existing user, try searching "bolt promo code paris" on Google once you arrive. Occasionally, there are active codes for returning users. While many expired when I tried them, Bolt often drops surprise discounts directly into your in-app wallet during your stay in Paris, so keep an eye out!
How to Book Your Ride

Simply enter your pickup location and destination. The app will automatically apply the best available discount code from your wallet. Choose the standard "Bolt" option for the best rate.

I booked a ride from Charles de Gaulle Airport to my hotel near the Eiffel Tower. The 18-mile, 42-minute ride only cost me €18 (approx. ~$19)!
In reality, it should have only cost €13 (approx. ~$13), but I incurred a €5 waiting fee because I got lost trying to find the pickup zone. Still, that's incredibly cheap for a private airport transfer!

Payment is completely hands-free via your linked card. Tipping is entirely optional and only necessary if your driver goes above and beyond.
Where to Catch Your Bolt at CDG Airport

Here is why I got hit with that €5 waiting fee. If it's your first time at CDG, finding the rideshare pickup zone for apps like Bolt or Uber can be incredibly confusing.

When landing, the app will likely auto-detect your location at CDG Terminal 2F. However, the pickup point is NOT on the arrivals level (1F). You must go up one floor to the departures level to find the designated ride-app pickup zone.
I spent way too much time wandering around the lower level. I tried messaging the driver to say I was on my way, but cellular connection inside the terminal can be spotty, leading to communication delays.

My pickup was designated at Gate 8 on the upper level. Once I located the correct gate and walked outside, my driver was waiting right there.
Remember: If your pickup is set to Terminal 2F, head straight upstairs via the elevator or escalator before ordering your ride!

Getting from CDG Airport to central Paris can be tiring and expensive, but using Bolt with a promo code makes it incredibly easy, comfortable, and budget-friendly. Keep these tips in mind for your next trip!
