Tips to Avoid Waiting
Be! SANDWICH is a delightful Fukuoka fruit sando shop located on the basement first floor of Hankyu Hakata. To ensure you get your pick of the most popular seasonal fruits, I highly recommend visiting in the morning or during lunchtime hours!
Exterior / Interior
You'll find Be! SANDWICH conveniently located within the food court on the basement first floor of Hankyu Hakata, which is directly connected to Hakata Station. Look for it in the corner right in front of the Hakata Side escalator, near the DONQ bakery. Don't hesitate to consult the underground map!

Funny enough, even though it was right by the escalator, I managed to walk past it a few times! Save yourself the extra steps and check the map beforehand – you'll spot it instantly.
Menu & My Order
At Be! SANDWICH, you'll find a delightful array of seasonal fruit creations. Think strawberries, mangoes, melons, peaches, grapes, tangerines, and pineapples, all starring in their signature fruit sandos, fresh fruit cups, juices, and even bento boxes.

My Review
While planning my Japan trip, I kept seeing gorgeous fruit sandos pop up everywhere, and I knew I had to try one. The stories of long waits at Shin-Sen-Sando were a bit daunting, so I made it my mission to find a spot where I could get my fix without the hassle. That's how I discovered Be! SANDWICH!

The shop itself is quite cozy, and all the tempting treats are beautifully showcased behind glass. I popped in around 1:50 PM on a Sunday, and to my delight, there was still a fantastic selection available. It was such a relief not to worry about everything being sold out, unlike some other popular spots!

After a good amount of deliberation, I decided on the 4-variety mixed fruit sando with strawberry, banana, tangerine, and kiwi. I had just eaten, so I knew I couldn't tackle a huge one, but I wanted to sample a few different flavors!

What really impressed me was the thoughtful packaging. The sando came in a sturdy paper bag, complete with a wet wipe and even a small ice pack – all without me even asking! That kind of attention to detail truly stands out.

Back at my hotel, I unwrapped my treat. The fruit sando was surprisingly thick and weighty – definitely more substantial than I expected, and quite filling! The fruits were incredibly fresh, perfectly ripe, and not at all mushy. The sweet and tangy balance was absolutely spot on.

This would be an absolutely perfect pairing with a fresh Americano or a cold fruit juice! I'm not usually a huge dessert person, but this fruit sando was a truly satisfying treat. I highly recommend it!
