Paris Bateaux-Mouches Cruise Review
Ticket Booking, Location, Seating Tips, Recommended Times
When you think of a trip to Paris, you can't leave out the 'Bateaux-Mouches', right? 🚢
When I went on my last trip,
the memory of riding the Paris Bateaux-Mouches stayed with me so romantically,
that I booked and rode it again on this trip! 🙏🏻

That shimmering Seine River water and the Eiffel Tower,
even the subway passing by in front...
Isn't it just so beautiful and romantic...?
I'll probably take the Bateaux-Mouches again even if I visit France another time.
How to Book Bateaux-Mouches Tickets
There are several ways to book Bateaux-Mouches tickets,
but I simply booked through 'MyRealTrip', which was the most popular option when I searched.

Bateaux-Mouches Boarding Location / Directions / Recommended Route
📍 Bateaux-Mouches
Pont de l'Alma, Port de la Conférence, 75008 Paris, France

If you take this route from the Eiffel Tower, it takes about 17 minutes on foot.

The route I recommend,
though it takes about 30 minutes, is this one! 👍🏻
It's a path that goes from the Eiffel Tower, across Pont d'Iéna (Iena Bridge), and through Trocadéro Square,
allowing you to fully admire the Eiffel Tower,
then walk along the Seine River to get to the Bateaux-Mouches.

Walking along the riverbank like this, with views of the Eiffel Tower,
30 minutes flies by...?
The scenery is absolutely stunning, so definitely try this walk! >_<
(Of course, the weather was cloudy that day, but isn't that also part of Paris's charm?)

As you walk, you'll see a sign that says BATEAUX MOUCHES.
This is the Bateaux-Mouches pier!
Bateaux-Mouches Entry Method / Audio Guide

You can go inside and get in line.
Batobus guide brochures are available for each country.
Of course, there's a Korean version!

The explanations for major spots are all organized like this, so
when you board, you can refer to it to easily identify each building.
It'll be great!!

And after waiting in line, you just
scan the QR code you prepared and enter.
It was great that you could just scan the barcode and board without needing to exchange for a separate ticket.

If you scan the QR code in the Batobus brochure,
an audio guide like this appears.
This is also in Korean,
so it might be good to bring earphones and listen while you're on board.
Without earphones, it was a bit noisy and hard to hear.
Want to hear the Korean guide clearly? Earphones are a must-bring!
Batobus Route and Seating Recommendations
Batobus Pier - Pont Alexandre III - Place de la Concorde
- The Louvre Museum - Hôtel de Ville - Conciergerie - Notre Dame Cathedral
(Turns around near the Arab World Institute) - Pont Neuf
- Musée d'Orsay - Eiffel Tower
So, the main route goes like this:
Therefore, initially, until the boat turns around, the major buildings will be on your left!

From the Batobus pier until it turns around,
and then until Musée d'Orsay and the Eiffel Tower,
sitting on the left side in the direction of travel
allows you to enjoy the buildings a bit more up close.

Just like this!!
But then, from the Eiffel Tower area back to the pier,
the boat turns around again, right?
So at that point, the Eiffel Tower will move to your right,
so it might be good to move to the right side just then, haha.

After the second turnaround, the Eiffel Tower will be on your right.
☆ ☆ Until the final Eiffel Tower turnaround (the second turnaround),
the left side in the direction of travel /
and once it turns at the Eiffel Tower, the right side in the direction of travel
are the spots where you can take photos without too many people getting in the way~~ ☆ ☆

10 years ago, I stood on the lower deck where there were no seats,
but this time, I watched from the second floor.
The view was definitely better from the second floor.
And naturally, the second floor is more popular.
However, if you want to enjoy the view just with your group, without other people around?
Then the side area on the first floor is great.
When we boarded the Batobus this time, there were
no people there at all!
The only downside is that there are no seats, so you'll have to stand.
Recommended Boarding Time for Batobus in Paris
The recommended boarding time for Batobus is
'sunset time'.
Because it's a long 70-minute ride,
if you board at sunset,
you can experience bright Paris, the sunset glow, and even the Eiffel Tower after dark!
You can capture it all!

This is the sky color change from the beginning to the end of the ride.
Based on peak season, May:
Boarded at 8:30 PM -> Finished the ride at 9:53 PM.
Sunset times vary each month, so it's best to search for the sunset time
and board based on what you find!!
From May to August, if you take the 8:30 PM Batobus, you can enjoy the sunset,
and if you take the 9:00 PM Batobus, you'll get to fully appreciate the night view😊
(Unfortunately, on the day I rode it, it was after a lot of rain,
so the sky was still cloudy,,, I hope you all get to enjoy a pink sunset!!)
Boarding the Batobus is an absolute must-do when you think of Paris!
You can buy your ticket in Korea, and then on the day of your ride, just check the weather and situation,
go to the pier, present your ticket, and board!
(However, tickets have an expiry date, so please check before using them.)
