Day 1

📍Hotel Continental Palacete
On the first day, I arrived at the hotel and settled in.
Its location is fantastic, being just a 5-minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya and Casa Batlló.
I absolutely adored this hotel's interior, which made me feel like I had stepped back into the Middle Ages –
it was truly beautiful!

📍La Flauta
📍 La Flauta
Carrer d'Aribau, 23, Eixample, 08011 Barcelona, Spain
For dinner, it was a must-try in Barcelona: Honey Cod!
Honey cod is a dish of cod topped with a sweet sauce,
and I found that even for the same menu item, it varied slightly from restaurant to restaurant.
I visited three places famous for being the 'top 3' for honey cod,
and personally, La Flauta was the most delicious.
Even though I'm not a huge fan of fish dishes,
the honey cod here is a flavor I sometimes crave
even after returning home to Korea.

After dinner, I took some time to admire Gaudi's architecture.
Since I'd planned internal viewings for the next day,
on the first day, I just took a leisurely stroll around the exteriors of the buildings.
Day 2

📍Casa Batlló
On the second day, I joined a Gaudi tour bright and early in the morning.
The tour followed this fantastic sequence:
Casa Batlló interior visit
→ Casa Milà exterior explanation
→ Park Güell interior visit
→ Sagrada Família exterior explanation

Casa Batlló, often called the 'House of Bones,' is truly unique.
When I first saw its exterior, I thought it was incredibly distinctive and beautiful,
but apparently, it received a lot of ridicule when it was first built!
Inside, I listened to our guide's insightful explanations and even got to sit in a chair that Gaudi himself
made during his early working days –
it was such an enriching experience!

📍Casa Milà
For Casa Milà, we only viewed the exterior, without an internal tour.
However, our guide showed us photos of the interior on a tablet and gave us a full explanation.
Since Casa Milà's exterior is its most significant feature,
I feel like you don't necessarily need to go inside
(though seeing it all would be wonderful if you have the time!).

📍Park Güell
Parc Güell was originally planned as a luxury residential complex for the wealthy.
Only one house was ever sold, apart from Gaudi's and Güell's own residences,
so the grand plan ultimately fell through... ㅠㅠ
But after actually visiting, it made me wonder just how much money someone would need
to live here! The scale of the place was truly immense.

The artistry alone is absolutely stunning, but
I really wondered if it would have been practical as a residential complex.

📍Sagrada Familia
Gaudi's masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia basilica.
I booked the interior visit separately without a guide,
and the tour ended with explanations of the exterior and photo opportunities.
Because 80% of the basilica's magic is in its exterior details,
I recommend free viewing of the interior, just like I did.

The moment you step inside the basilica, you'll be filled with awe.
I've visited many cathedrals in Europe, but none have moved me quite like this.
It's a place that photos simply cannot do justice to.
If the interior is ever fully completed, it's a basilica I absolutely want to revisit at least once before I die.

📍Mira restaurant
After the tour, I had paella for lunch near the Sagrada Familia.
I ate before heading inside the basilica after the tour.
Your energy levels will likely be pretty low at this point, so I highly recommend eating somewhere as close as possible.

📍Sercotel Hotel Rosellón
After finishing the interior visit,
I headed to a hotel rooftop
with views of the Sagrada Familia.
You can use the rooftop by making a reservation, even if you're not staying at the hotel.
Make sure to visit around sunset for an unforgettable view!
📌How to book the rooftop
Day 3

I started the third day with churros for breakfast.
Churros are delicious everywhere, so grab some for a quick and easy breakfast!

📍Barcelona Cathedral, Gothic Quarter
After breakfast, I explored the Barcelona Cathedral and
the Gothic Quarter.
After seeing the famous "Wall of Kisses" and finishing our visit to the cathedral,
we spent some time strolling around.

📍Plaça de Catalunya
Afterward, we moved to Plaça de Catalunya for some shopping.
It was a bit gloomy that day because of the rain.

📍Cerveceria Catalana
For dinner, it was honey cod again! 🩷
While traveling, I tried other restaurants too,
which allowed me to compare and find places that really suited my taste.
For me, La Flauta was the best,
but the same menu can feel different depending on your palate,
so if any place sparks your curiosity, I highly recommend giving it a try!

📍Magic Fountain Show
After dinner, I went to see the Magic Fountain Show,
but it was canceled due to rain, so I had to head back to my accommodation.
It was a sudden cancellation on the day itself,
so there was no way for me to check in advance ㅠㅠ
Watching videos of it, it looks absolutely stunning.
You absolutely must see it!
Day 4

📍Nomad Café
On the last day, I headed to a cafe I'd been wanting to visit.
The coffee here is truly delicious.
If you're serious about your coffee,
you'll definitely be amazed after trying it..!
I loved it so much after tasting it that I even bought some coffee beans to take home.

📍Palau de la Música Catalana
When planning a trip focused mainly on Gaudi's architecture,
it's easy to overlook the Palau de la Música Catalana.
Its interior is so spectacular that just seeing the concert hall is a treat,
but if you have time, watching a performance there is even better.

📍prado de flores
For my last lunch in Barcelona,
I indulged in paella and pulpo (octopus).
The pulpo here was incredibly tender and delicious.
A perfect end to my last meal!
Additionally, you might want to consider adding Barceloneta Beach to your itinerary,
or if you're a football fan, the Camp Nou stadium.
They're great options to explore!
If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment! ☺️
