When planning a trip with my parents, I meticulously researched options that offered a great location, impeccable cleanliness, and a fantastic breakfast. Ultimately, my decision was sealed when my sibling raved about their positive experience staying at Ambit Hotel during their Barcelona honeymoon.

Let me quickly highlight some of the major perks!

1️⃣ Prime Location for Barcelona Sightseeing

The hotel is conveniently located just about a 5-minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya. This central spot makes it incredibly easy to reach major tourist attractions and a plethora of restaurants. For us, it was perfect for Gaudí tours, as pick-up points for places like Casa Batlló were easily accessible. While we didn't use the metro much, the Urquinaona metro station is also very close, which is a huge plus for independent travelers planning their itineraries. As I've mentioned in a previous post, it’s also a short walk from the airport bus stop, making airport transfers a breeze.

2️⃣ Delicious and Spotless Buffet Breakfast

Even if I don't typically eat breakfast at home, it's a must-do when traveling! 😊 While there are plenty of nearby restaurants for an early bite, I opted to include breakfast with our reservation to ensure my parents started their days well-fed and energized. Personally, I found it well worth the extra cost, with a great selection of dishes that both my parents and I thoroughly enjoyed!

3. Ambit Hotel Barcelona: My Honest Experience

Lobby, Room, Bathroom, Breakfast

After an early check-out from a nearby hostel, we dropped off our luggage and headed to the airport to pick up my parents. The Ambit Hotel staff kindly accommodated their bags too, making our first day's itinerary much smoother.

We booked a Comfort Double Room, which was perfectly sized for two people. I was particularly impressed with the clean and comfortable bed and bedding! As someone with dust mite allergies, I'm quite sensitive, so this was a huge plus.

The terrace was quite small, to be honest, haha. I imagine the dedicated 'terrace rooms' might be more spacious, but for our needs, it wasn't a crucial feature.

Perhaps because the hotel is popular with many international travelers, we even found an information guide in English! It provided useful details about Barcelona and highlighted the hotel's '5-star breakfast' claim – which, I must say, held true!

The room was equipped with essential amenities including a TV, bedside tables, charging outlets, a safe, an electric kettle, cups, and a mini-bar. The space beneath the TV was particularly handy for keeping our luggage organized, which was a surprisingly convenient feature.

The bathroom featured a clever layout with the sink located outside the main shower and toilet area. This separation was incredibly convenient for getting ready during our trip. The towels were also generously replaced daily!

I recommend this hotel for:
