- This spot is a must-visit for tsukemen lovers and ranks in the author's all-time Top 3.

- A meal including a special tsukemen, karaage, and a drink costs around 500 Baht (~$14).
I’ve spent countless hours exploring nearly every tsukemen spot in Seoul’s ramen battlegrounds like Hongdae, Seongsu, and Hapjeong. The big question always was: could Bangkok possibly offer a comparable tsukemen experience? During my month-long stay in Bangkok last year, I discovered just one place. It was called Tsukemen 55 then, but revisiting it this year, the name has subtly changed to Tsukemen GOGO.
The name change doesn't matter one bit, as long as the flavor remains. And trust me, it does. If you consider yourself a true tsukemen connoisseur, this place is an absolute must-visit. For me, Tsukemen GOGO has officially earned a spot in my all-time Top 3 tsukemen experiences, right alongside Yeonnam-dong’s Turtle’s Dream, Sangsu’s Mentaka Musho, and Tokyo’s Menya Musashi.

Tsukemen GOGO Location

Tsukemen GOGO is about a 10-12 minute walk from BTS Phrom Phong station.
You might wonder if it’s worth trekking that far from the station just for tsukemen, and honestly, I had the same thought on my first visit. But the moment you take that first slurp of noodles dipped in their incredible broth, all doubts vanish. It’s truly a game-changer.

Just a little insider info: Tsukemen GOGO is part of the Megumi Group, a ramen franchise. While I haven't seen many of their other establishments, I definitely recognize the "uncle" character depicted on the Ozawa Ramen sign.
Inside the Restaurant

Even though it's on the ground floor of the building, the sign is practically invisible, hidden by pillars! Seriously, they need a better strategy to make it easier to find. It’s still quite a challenge to spot the place.
Once inside, you'll find a surprisingly spacious dining area with plenty of seating. I visited during peak dinner hours, and initially, I was the only customer. There were about three staff members, which made me wonder how they managed to stay in business!

I was genuinely worried they might close down! Thankfully, while I was eating, more customers started to arrive, filling up about five tables. Phew!
The Menu

As a dedicated tsukemen specialist, their menu naturally features tsukemen first, followed by ramen. You’ll find some unique options here that aren't common in most tsukemen joints, like Tripe Tsukemen and Tantan Tsukemen.
The "Noukou Tsukemen" (Rich Tsukemen) is their classic staple, but what in the world is "Tomato Tsukemen"? It reminded me of the tomato ramen I once had in Fukuoka – a curious fusion!

I chose the Umakara Tsukemen Special. Unlike Ichiran Ramen, where "special" might just mean extra plain noodles, this special comes loaded with delicious additions like generous cuts of meat, bamboo shoots, seaweed, and a perfectly cooked egg – everything you need to enhance your dipping noodle experience.

Of course, you can also opt for ramen instead of tsukemen.

They also offer Maze Soba, Teppanyaki Fried Rice, Chashu-don, and classic side dishes like Gyoza and Karaage. They really cover all the bases!

I decided to go all out and ordered the Special Tsukemen along with an extra side of Karaage.

My Special Tsukemen arrived with generous slices of meat, a perfectly soft-boiled egg, tender bamboo shoots, and ample seaweed, providing a delightful variety of textures.

The tsukejiru, or dipping broth, is anchovy-based. While its appearance might not be the most glamorous, the flavor is absolutely divine – it truly hit that "tsukemen perfection" I'm always chasing. I just couldn't stop eating it!

You absolutely *must* order the Karaage! It’s incredibly crispy on the outside and wonderfully juicy on the inside. I almost missed out on this gem, and I’m so glad I didn’t!

A fantastic feature here is the mini induction cooker right at your table. Simply lift your bowl onto the cooker, turn it on, and after a few minutes, your broth will be piping hot again – it seriously enhances the flavor!
However, after just a minute or two, I noticed the bowl started to jiggle vigorously. Turns out, if you don't stir the broth beforehand, it can boil over quite dramatically! So, a pro tip: make sure to stir your broth with your chopsticks before placing it on the induction cooker.

Just dip your noodles generously into the broth and enjoy. It's that simple!
Traditionally, at most tsukemen restaurants, you’d ask for "warisupu" (broth-thinning soup) to mix with the leftover dipping broth, or even order rice to enjoy with it. Here, they don't offer those options, but honestly, the portion is so generous you'll be completely full regardless. My meal, including a drink and the Karaage, came out to about 500 Baht, which is roughly ~$14. Every single dollar was well spent for such a satisfying meal.
I've planned the rest of my stay in Bangkok around the Phrom Phong and On Nut areas, specifically so I can visit Tsukemen GOGO a few more times! Seriously, if you're a fan of tsukemen, you absolutely have to check this place out.
